| Quote ="bellycouldtackle"With 16 matches left and with Hull KR and Bradford on 11 and 12 points fighting for 8th spot we would need to win 10 of our last 16 matches in order to finish in the top 8. Lets be fair this is not going to happen. Does this mean the season is over - no in my opinion. We have pride to play for, wins will keep the crowd, I think the higher up the league you finish the more prize money the club gets etc etc. That been said I would suggest that the rest of this season gives us a fantastic opportunity to find out about a few of the young players. There is no point getting to the end of the season still not knowing how these young lads are going to get on at first team level. With this in mind I would like to see Anakin, Wildie, Speirs, Walshaw, Trout all get 7 or 8 games, not all at the same time but two of them in each game. I would like to see Lillycroft get a game as a reward for his efforts in the 20`s. I would like to see Ellis play in every game and lets find out what made him such a good and well liked player at Quins. So who should make way you may ask, well if is true that Paul Johnson has signed for another club then there is no point in him getting a game, I like Paul and well always remember his efforts from last season. If it is true that Southerns family cannot settle ( I have sympathy for him ) then there is again no point in giving him game time, he and Paul should play in the 20`s. I would also suggest that Mellers needs time in the 20`s to gain some enthusiasm for the game as his work rate is not yet up to scratch. I would also suggest that unless John and Smith start taking the line on that they should drop down and gain some confidence.'"
Agreed, but would also like to see the other 1st team squad members, Slater, Davey and Cowling get a shot also. Along with Wildie playing regularly in the 20's, Cowling and Slater have worked tirelessley with not much mention. It was good to hear Cowling went well at Doncaster but nothing I didn't expect, I am suprised he hasn't had a shot in the centre's before now what with there being injuries out wide.

I agree with your sentiments but, we should be trying to win as many games as possible and be competetive.
It wont help any of the youngsters to come into a team if we are getting pumped every week but, we should certainly be trying to give as many as possible
some game time, to establish whether they are capable of making the grade.
Having said that, we still have plenty to play for. None of the teams in the battle for 8th are too far ahead of us, so at the moment we should be trying to
win as many games as possible and see where it takes us.

| Saints 19 as follows:
Wellens, Shenton, Soliola, Meli, Hohaia, Lomax, Roby, McCarthy-Scarsbrook, Wilkin, Flannery, Laffranchi, Flanagan, Clough, Dixon, Gaskell, Makinson, Forster, J. Jones, Greenwood
Although, they have Roby, Lomax Soliola, this squad is nowhere near the quality of previous seasons (tempting fate a bit), so lets hope we give them a go.

| I've got a feeling we'll give them a game (at least in the first 40), their not exactly on fire themselves. Hopefully we can catch them cold. Be nice to Wilde get some game time.

Unfortunately it's still good enough to beat most teams. If we are still in the game in second half I'll be pleased.
