Quote ="charlie63wildcat"From my view, great attacking player, tackles like Shirley Temple. [size=1502 real powder puff efforts[/size on TV views v Salford led to tries. But you don't play for NZ for nothing. I suspect as a team we will be maturing like a fine wine as the season develops and we really do seem to like the warm weather. We are lightweight in the cold, wet and mud but seem to scamp around and look dangerous as it gets hot. Salford result will hopefully give them the confidence to relax and stop the frenetic panic rugby that seems to me to be trying just a bit too hard at times and ending in trouble when we are on top'"
That's a poor version of events. It was two big man on small man tackle where John was caught of balance and lacked technique. If a big man can't bust a small man then what are props for, why not have 17 halfbacks?
Very few tries are purely the creation of the attacking team, most come due to a greater or lesser extent to a defensive error. If there were no errors you would be watching a game that consisted purely of 5 tackles and a kick played exclusively in the middle section of the pitch. I'm exaggerating a bit but you get the idea - it just wasn't John day.
