Quote ="Slugger McBatt"I read the article in the Yorkshire Post today that said that a benefactor post-administration was very unlikely and so it sounded like now or never. Could be tosh, but a difficult situation to be in. Because of Newmarket, I think we were all confident of someone stepping in, because the long term future was bright. Whether it is with the Bulls is a different issue.'"
I'll say tosh. Took a while for some, but if you take a club into administration once, chances are you probably will do again unless you are megarich or have the access to the cash. No-one buys a club with huge debts before they go into administration, and you can tell that by the amount of rubbish in the press that Portsmouth and Rangers won't make it until the end of their seasons. Still seem to be trading.
Even Darlington get idiots throwing money at unsustainable businesses!
The only clubs that go and never come back are the tiny non-league ones. The historic ones, regardless of sport, always stay alive somehow.
