Quote ="kinleycat"The shop side of things still looks out of step with the improvements elsewhere at the club, i know its still early days really and in real terms compared to how bad the retail side used to be it has improved.
Everytime i go in there is a different person in, which probably doesn't help, and its difficult to manage when you don't know what your profitability is going to be like, increased costs with the ridings shop, limited interest previously and limited retail history etc.
=#FF0000Its a must to get right though, and the simple things such as stocking what people want to buy, helpful staff and following up on promised phone calls are all basics.'"
Agreed and I think it's something that seriously needs looking at. I have been after a replica ball since before Christmas as a present for my lad as well as a pair of kit socks and I was informed that they would be in soon. Stroll on January I'm then told that they are not getting the socks in after all and that the balls had been printed with the old logo but they would be arriving in a couple of weeks. Called in a couple of weeks later still no news and I left my number but still awaiting a call and to be honest I have given up hope of getting one.
I also think the website needs updating. Click on the shop link and your greeted with a picture of 3 players in last years kit and thats it unless you want to personalize a Wildcats mug or mousemat. Now I am not saying that we have to have an online shop to rival Amazon but all the other clubs seem to have it and I think its a great way of being able to see whats available without having to go into town and in reality a visit to the shop is the only reason I ever feel the need to go into town.
