Personally I'd like to see P&R but with strict conditions, such as modern facilities with good capacity and most importantly a youth set up down to 16's at least.

Sounds good to me, but the RFL have their own ideas, I dont think they will listen to anyone talking sense.

That would be asking too much of them.

I think the wealth of Junior players coming through and being given a chance is directly related to the fact there is no promotion and relegation.

For me a 3 year security blanket is an excellent idea for the strength of the sport and the future of the game.

Do you mean on a three (or more?) year cycle or a yearly cycle?

If yearly, it does not solve the yo-yo problem though and that means unless you already have a ground to standard then the getting financial investment to bring your ground up to standard with the risk of it only being for one year, is too great and therefore a problem.

On maybe a three/four/five year cycle then I think this has real legs and potential. However, given the RFL's vested financial interests in keeping the club currently at the bottom in SL, this won't happen for at least another 3 to 5 years!
