Quote ="apg100"Okay, you've worked me out!!
I haven't been hiding, I just didn't announce myself. I have found this site very good for my research, it's great to see so many people with the club at heart.
Before all the questions start flying in, I am VERY limited on what I can and will say on here. I can assure you that when I do post, it will be the truth and I will not just say things to please you.
I Would also like to state that my intentions are completely honourable. I have no intentions of 'fleecing' the club, I am not looking to make a quick buck!! Should I win the bid, I will be honouring ALL the season tickets, as someone said 'I'd be mad not too'.
I DO have the financial clout to give the club stability, which will be my first job. I am very good at running business and am relishing the opportunity to get stuck into this one!
I won't be answering any questions about the offer I am making, so please don't ask. All I will say is that we are ready to do the deal now, and are trying to get it sorted as soon as possible. There is every chance this will be as late as the 11th, the day before the first game!! I truly hope it can be before that, but am not holding my breath.
You have talked a lot on here about the other bids and people that are interested, I have no knowledge about them, so couldn't comment. I do however believe I have what the club needs to move forward to a MUCH brighter future. We will be making every effort to keep our SuperLeague status as that is where the club belongs, but as you all know, there are no guarantees with this. We do have alternative options, but we are in no way planning to move down a league!
Should my bid be successful, the only way this will work, is for the fans to get back behind the club. I am prepared to put the work in, but you will all have to commit and come and watch us.
This is Wakefield, Together we are Stronger.'"
do yourself a favour keep your money in foreign high interest accounts that will guarantee a return, if you end up with the burden of bank rolling WTW for the next god knows how many seasons you will rue the day you made this mad decision. you have the financial future of your family to consider!!!
there never has been the interest within Wakefield to support any optimism for real growth. the club will always retain it's core 3500 supporters but that is it maybe +/- 15% but i would not be looking at this as a solid foundation to base a creative business plan on, unless you know 5,000 people who are willing to turn up and pay each home game as they are your mates?
unless you have 5-10mil of surplus money which you have written off and are willing to lose on the basis you are a passionate fan then i think you need your head testing.if nothing else, the RFL want the likes of WTW, Cas, etc replaced by designer teams based in the south of France, Ireland, Scotland etc etc your efforts in the end will be wasted, no matter how good the intentions are. I trust you have a shrude financial advisor, i'd be interested to know what his thoughts are with regards to the potential take over of WTW and their likely revenue streams.
