Barnsley will not be available for the Wildcats to rent, this is due to the amount of football currently played there, currently Barnsley First Team and Reserves. It would not be viable to also allow Super League games as this would cause major problems with the playing surface. Barnsley are not looking to relocate there reserve team. So whats plan C.

It's in the operational rules regarding who can apply for a license. There is a clause which states any other non-English club the RFL may chose to invite to apply, or words to that effect.

With all your boards talk of SL (I understand the need to stay posistive) I do hope for your sake they are strongly considering options should you be 'relegated' as the last think you'd want then is a big rent agreement signed at a football stadium that you simply couldn't afford as income drops dramatically!

If there was a written source then I would point you that direction but I don't believe there is. But i was told by someone close to the rfls 'inner circle' that they had indeed been invited to apply, though at the time there were doubts whether they would due to funding issues that the club had/has. I have no idea if they applied or are going to but the invite was made to them because of the concern over the poor number of international standard French players coming through and getting the chance to play top level RL.
