Was that the one at the bottom of Thornes Park, under the Double 2 bridge? Used to go there for dinner when I was at Thornes House - a big gang of us would walk down for chips and beans, including Gary Price as it happens, just to maintain an (admittedly tenuous) rugby connection.
Thats the one, now a indian I think, it was never the quality it was the fun factor of going in late with a huge list and her shouting at me then realizing she was getting the brass so then it was all smiles, she was class, big lady with loads of blonde hair good times

Yes, it was a grate place at about 10:30pm on a Friday night after a good sesh in the Thornes W.M.C
Sometimes went there for dinner and a pint once orderd cornish pasty with peas and chips, cornish was still frozen inside ! trained for karate in their side room for a few years "long gone".
there used to be a butchers next to bon bon that had old hams hung outside , they did sarnis but used the same knife to cut meat for cutting the bread and buttering dosn't sound bad until you think it was fresh uncooked meat !
