Maybe they will get the chance next season to claim a first team spot, we may be jumping the gun a little, lets face it the signings coming in will hardly be able to insist on a first team place will they. Mad scramble and competition for places is exactly what we need.

Thing is if they did get a chance then a couple of poor performances and some on here and at the ground would be slating them and saying why the hell are we playing these useless youngsters.

Exactly Davey,Wildie and Morton are the pick of the young uns along with young Adam Slater maybe next year, and the first three should have already been loaned out to gain the experience instead of being left frustrated in the reserves simply doing nothing and learning even less.

I think we should utilise the duel contract system so that if players like Davey and Wildie are not in our match day squad then they can get some good competeative rugby under their belts at clubs like Hunslet, Batley, Dewsbury and Fev.

That's a good point which I was thinking about the other day, I think we were one of only a few clubs who didn't opt into the dual contract situation.

It's widely acknowledged that The Championship is a lot more competitive than the reserves league so if we weren't playing the talented young lads, why not let them train with us for most of the week and then gain some first team experience at a lower standard.

Murphy had experience at Batley and Dewsbury (I think) and maybe we should be exposing similar players to that environment.

I hope that next year we think about this option.
