I can fully understand what you mean
Just when I was getting real interest back we lost Newton then Brough and now Tronc I am not saying it’s the clubs fault but it always seems to be Wakefield. Add to this the on off stadium situation and the old Trinity tale we have no money you just get to the point where you lose all interest I know I am not on my own far too many false dawns at Wakefield over 35 seasons
Will be amassed if we are in SL come 2012

It is a tough little patch we're going through - but we've come through tougher periods, and we're still here.
I actually think that, whilst it may take a little while to get everything together again, that we will begin our climb back to our usual feistiness from this weekend. The team has been shuffled around (some not of our choosing); Tronc's trunks are packed and sat in an airport somewhere and we have a team (almost) full of English players - it's all tailor made for our club and I fully expect us to take pride - if not the spoils - this weekend!
Oh, and whilst the stadium is a worry (and always will be until we're sat in it), there is still no sign of panic from those involved in it - in fact work is continuing to see how it can be improved!
I understand the feeling of disillusionment, I've felt that way myself occasionally and I can't remember a time when I wasn’t enveloped by all things Trinity.
I also wonder sometimes, after a life of Rugby League as schoolboy, spectator, supporter of brothers in their careers, a career of my own, training 3 nights a week, giving up both weekend days to play twice or play and watch, being a spectator again, working for a number of clubs, working for the RFL, working on the 2000 world cup being a spectator again and now redoing (UKCC) my coaching badges.
[size=150There Must Be More to Life Than Rugby League![/size
As a long suffering Wakefield fan I would just love to bask in the sunshine for a while before we slip back into the role of feisty overachieving underdogs/no one likes us but we don't care!
Reality is that life is enriched by the involvement in Rugby and I've met some fantastic people as a player, colleague, supporter etc...
I often say being part of my family and being involved in rugby was never a matter of choice.
It's in the blood, genetic, hereditary an instinct that had to be followed!
Like being Irish and religious it's a lifelong devotion!

My reasons weren't quite that deep.
1. We were crap last weekend
2. The games down in London
3. It's only the cup.
