I don't think it necessarily is though Schunter. Looking at some facts;

Money is available to make weekly RL programmes on both BBC and Sky
Someone is arranging the preparation of decent quality recording of every SL games
Clubs would not appear to have a problem with making contributions to the existing show

I would therefore suggest the availability of raw materials is not an issue when it comes to the production of the shows. What is the problem is the motivation of the production staff (which may be financially constrained), the quality of the talent and crucially the fact that we, the viewers, whilst moaning continually about it - do nothing about it.

In that case a letter of complaint is in order methinks

Won't do much good, they'll file it under 'Another whinging Northerner, ignore'.

That's just chuffing patronising!

But the BBC's commitment to 'rugby' is brilliant. I can't go five minutes without seeing another bloomin' 6 Nations ad. Even Football gets less promotion!

On the subject of redressing the balance between north and south production, doesn't that never ending stream of Hairy Bikers cooking shows level things out nicely for the Beeb. Not a fan of them anymore after that Lanc claimed to have best Yorkshire "pudden" recipe. How dare he!
