Crucial moment was when he penalised Leeds at the start of the second when Drew decided it was time for a lay down.

Leeds were well on top and on for a length of fielder but got pulled back and penalised for obstruction. Game over without that call.

Along those lines yes, I seem to remember Silverwood doing similar against quins not sure if it was for us or quins but te ball had been passed around some one knocked on and as no advantage had been made he went back to an infringement and gave a penalty. For me the penalty should be given straight away cuts out the confusion and is fairer on the fans who's backs don't get up then. IMO it was the correct call just at a very crucial time

I can't say I noticed Wakey being offside at the time, I'm just not watching the game for that kind of thing, so getting the penalty after the knock on was a major relief. But when Sky showed the replay moments after, it was clear that a penalty was a fair decision.

Not watched the game on tv yet so I'll take your word for it, the most frustrating thing about the penalty though is that he hadn't played the offside rule or holding down all night so to suddenly give one rightly or wrongly just makes it harder for the fans to swallow. Offside = penalty so no qualms but the rule should be played to the book. We won the count hands down yet we're the bottom of the fair play league, many of the penalties Leeds gave away were for dissent for Ganson having the balls to bring them back for forward passes which other refs seem to ignore, thought the ref had a good game and let the game flow whenever he could, correct decision to bin Snitch and same with Webb. Credit to Leeds for playing until the end and hopefully we will learn from our mistakes. Great game and bet it made for really exciting viewing on TV.
