He hasn't really done it on the field consistently over the last couple of seasons.
Doesn't always look fit or interested, even at his beloved KR.
Can be a pudding in defence.
Plus the off-field & disruptive element angle.

If Kear could get him firing, great signing. Big if though.

I would not defend any of those anyway, Cooke is fat, lazy and a trouble causer who used to have some talent, he also walked out on his club. Not many players i REALLY dislike but he's top on the list.

I quite agree! Too much trouble for what he'd bring on the field.

I reckon he could be a really good signing. Would give us more creativity. As for being disruptive Kear knows him well enough from his Hull days so if he thought it would be a problem then he wouldn't be signing. Still don't really understand the outrage about his possible signing but then it was the same about Brough/Moore and plaenty others so guess it might turn out alright after all!
