thought it was very close between moore blaymire and atkins. atkins was very difficult to bring down at times and made some good half breaks, same can be said for moore.
blaymire was safe as houses all day
Agree with TRB ( words that are seldom heard or read ) . Our game plan execution was near perfect, As mentioned a couple of passes into touch and one or two costly drops. That said no team will ever play the error free game. Infact it amazes me, when you look at the impact the players take, that the ball is not dropped more often.
I like it when we play a simple no risk game plan, Wigan away, Cas away etc etc. It works for us. We have great kickers and we should be able to nearly always only give the opposition the ball in their own 22, then strong defence and hunt the mistake. The moment we stray from this plan we start to look vulnerable.
I also think that some of the posts on this thread that state that we should have won with more ease are fogetting just how good a defence The Quins have. Their goal line defence was great on Sunday, their line speed was awesome, they did not give our back line any time and space on the ball. It took an interception from Brough and some magic from Drew to break them. They were still defending with great vigour in the last minute. I think it was their young 6, Gale who just backed of his man in that last play that allowed us to get the ball to Grix in space as his winger had to come in to help Gale.
