Can I just remind everyone about the sessions run by the community department on a Wednesday teatime for youngsters. I realize that it could be difficult for some as they are only coming home from work then, but it is a great opportunity to get the kids out into the fresh air and enjoying themselves for only £1.50 a session. It is a great pity to see only a handful of kids attending, and the lack of numbers means that they are restricted in what they can do with the children. Please spread the word and hopefully more of our kids can benefit.
My son went tonight for first time. I watched from touch line. It was a quality session coached very well by a guy who was really good with the kids ( well done!). Seems you can just turn up and join in (£1.50). No need for a regular commitment which for some kids is too much on top of everything else they do. About a dozen there tonight. It would be good to see this type of initiative taking off. On a similar note Cats bar was full of girls dancing. I know this activity does not sit well with some traditionalists but if it gets folk involved I'm all for it.
