What are we making of him so far this season? I may be unfair, but I don't think he's been anywhere near as effective as he was last year? Then again, is he actually on the field long enough to have an impact? because he just seems to have been anonymous so far.......

I don’t think he’s a bench player. He won’t make that impact but has a great engine so should start imo

Have to disagree. He started at Warrington last week and was completely ineffective and shattered after 15 minutes.

He doesn’t have the size of impact for a starting prop. He’s definitely a bench prop imo. He brings energy if the bench when opposition forwards start to tire more. That said he didn’t look right at Warrington and I thought he looks to be carrying an injury. He’s been okay but hasn’t quite hit the form he was showing end of last season. Plenty of time yet.

Funny how the few times I saw him play for London against us he really made a good impression , has he got a bit too familiar with the laid back culture at the club and thought, when in Rome ?

He does get dominated, that's why when he's taking the ball up he needs a foil, he's not scared to take it to the line, offload and get a clout.

I still like him but now Chester has had his paws on him he's going down hill.

There is a reason why at his age he has played mostly in the championship,great lad,great effort but that's about it

I mentioned this last night in the other thread. His form is way down in last year. His go forward has disappeared and he is getting dominated and as such produces a slow okay the ball. He’s been slow to slide in defence as well. If he is injured he needs a couple of weeks off to get right, give Aydin or Eseh a run instead. If he’s fit he needs to pull his considerable weight.

Alex Walker has never been a top full back. He had a decent season for a struggling London outfit. He showed promise but he has always had flaws in his game especially his attack. I said before we signed him he often hesitates when joining the line and struggles to find a pass. That part of his game hasn’t developed.

Honestly bigging a player up as something he never was just to use it as a stick to beat Chester with is just poor form from you.
