| TRB who can we contact to check the progress of the ground and to ask basically what is going on.
Who can we contact to give positives about our new ground and why we desperately need it. Its gone 2 quiet for my likeing and we need to take it into our own hands now. Was thinking about this last night the nimbys are out in force protesting and general bad words about the ground. How about we get 200+ Wakefield fans together and organise some sort of protest march in the city centre? Hand leaflets out at the Cas game to arrange a date. Bull by the horns now we are WAKEFIELD TRINITY for god sake. We need to take the new ground into our own hands. When walking up to our ground on saturday its getting worse and can understand the away fans moaning. Its such a dump there isn't even a bar near the ground apart from the con club where you need to be a member its not even a national league standard ground. Enough is enough people if there not going to give us this ground we need to go down fighting. Get local media / protest around city centre in our wakefield shirts and go past council officers shouting/protesting etc. Enough is enough Belle vue would not even meet standards for a 1000 dalmatians watching a game. LETS MAKE A STAND ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. LETS GO DOWN FIGHTING ! We need this ground start from scratch have a great atmosphere in it etc. We have sat back long enough lets wake up the sleeping giant of Wakefield Trinity we are not door mats anymore our club needs our help. Lets arrange something if anyone is interested reply to this thread and hopefully we can arrange some sort of date to do this.

| The only way forward is for both Wakey and Cas to see sense and seriously discuss the ground sharing option because without it there is no future for both.

| You make an assumption that because we are not shouting from the rooftops, we must not be doing anything - don't make that assumption.
There have been meetings galore in the cause and we are fighting every inch of the way.
As the issue is tied in with the club / the developer and the trust, I cannot say much of what has been discussed - my apologies to those who feel frustrated by this, but I am not going to divulge details which weaken our position.
I am grateful to the likes of our friend here as the very threat of such actions can, in some circumstances, be more powerful than the act itself.
So, what are we campaigning for - we are still prusuing a Community Stadium and Sports Facilities in Wakefield; we believe that Newmarket is a viable location; we believe that Yorkcourt are viable developers; we believe that Sir Rodney is the right man to head the Trust; we believe that Newmarket IS fundable. This is our goal - and we remain (including Chairman Ted) devoted to achieving this and are actively working towards it.
That is as much as I can say right now - but others from SWAG will back me up on the details set out above.
Stay positive!

Probably being naive here, but how does keeping stum strengthen our position? I think a lot of supporters, myself included, are getting twitchy because it all seems to have gone quiet over the last few weeks. It's not a criticism as such, but I would favour an open and honest approach rather than keeping stuff up our sleeve.
When do you expect we can expect some positive stadium news? Are we days, weeks or months off?
Cheers

It's a fair question - but very difficult to answer.
We / I have attended various meetings 'in confidence' - some good / some not-so, but there have been no 'show-stoppers'.
Timescale - also very difficult to say. There's good reasons to push ahead and good reasons to be patient - but whether to push or wait is a decision for others to make - we are merely supporters.
Stay positive!

Apologies to seem negative here, but some of your comments dont fill me with optimism.
"fighting every inch of the way" -- sounds like we are fighting a losing battle.
And the section on what we are campaigning for -- i thought we had done all this.
I thought the reason it had gone to planning was that it had already been established that Wakefield needs community stadium, better facilities, newmarket was viable etc........
I was under the impression that we now just needed PP to be forthcoming.
Sorry TRB,but this sounds awfully like there are doubts now over the whole thing.
Call me cynical, but have the council now decided they are not sure and are pushing for us to share with Cas at Glasshoughton???

You can read it that way if you like. I for one have never considered the work to be 'done' and always expected that there would be 'moments' before it all came good.
Read my post again - I have clearly said that there are no 'show-stoppers' - i.e. there is nothing which is insummountable.
There are doubts over everything - hence much of the problems the club are feeling right now, but with patience, grit and the determination to see this through - we believe that our 'team' can deliver!
