Apparantly giant Samoan prop Charlie Leaeno will be joining to replace homesick Shane Tronc. This was reported in one of todays national papers, express i think.

I can't find any clips of him on youtube or owt, but he's a big unit and Samoan, so hopefully he's got that slightly unhinged, aggressive fend and trample on your face go-forward style that players from that part of the world seem to favour. Has the club confirmed the signing yet btw? Nothing on the website.

As for Ratchford - that'd be a decent signing imo. Alternatively, I hear a certain Cas player is experiencing some discipline problems atm; what he needs is a coach who knows how to get the best out of misfits and bad boys....

There's 2 from what i have been told. Both are on stupid money for what they are worth though.
Ratchford on the other hand won't be on anywhere near the 110K+ both Westy and Chase are on. I bet if we offered SR 75/80K we could get him in a snap.

Wakefield vs Salford is not hard, but i'm looking at it as a supporter of Wakefield. Looking in the other direction it would be, for a young prospect who would have many suitors if he were to leave, equally unattractive. A small club with pitiful crowds vs a less small club with poor crowds. I think it's a little disrespectful to just assume a player from another club would want to play for your club. I know it annoys me when to boots on the other foot.

Having said that it would be great if Trinity could sign him though. If the planning for Newmarket is granted and Salford's goes tits up (which seems unlikely now) then the powers of persuasion would favour Trinity more then now.
