Just to confirm the Castleford game and season ticket situation.

For all Championship clubs their season tickets are eligible for their 1st round which is round 3 (Pia).
Super League clubs - their season tickets are eligible for their 1st round which is round 4 (Cas).
All junior season tickets are for all clubs are eligible upto the semi's.

The reason for this is to increase crowd attendances during the earlier rounds plus the old days of having a big pay day when you get a top club have more or less gone.
Champiosnhip clubs do receive a compensation pay out for this.

Hope that makes sense and i hope to see you all down at Cougar Park this SUnday and against Castleford.

I remember my 1st game at Cougar park. The 1998 Cup game v Wigan. The place was packed. Helens right though, those days are dying, and this is a way to try and bring them back. You only have to have watched the tv games the last couple of years and seen the empty stands.

It always amazes me why the clubs dont fill the side of the stadium that the camera is looking at. It makes it look like the popular sport it should be.

Anyone got a picture of the stadium.
I cant for the life of me remember what it looks like and how many stands it as.

Coming over by train, is there any "familly" pubs near the ground?
When I say familly I mean let kids in not the ones with ball pools and numbered tables!

There is a good family pub on the main roundabout with Bradford Road, HardIngs Road and Airevalley Road. It was busy the last time we went and that was without thousands of Cas fans. The park opposite is also good for a kickabout with the kids.

I remember Andy Farrell's pass out the back on the right wing in that game, led directly to a try, superb skill, we also signed a Wigan player on loan on the recommendation of John Monie, a second rower, Gerry ...

Do you mean "The Beeches"? I think that one has numbered tables seeing as its a carvery restaurant as well as a residential hotel.

I think that sherburntiger60 is looking for a proper pub but I can't think of one near the railway station or the ground.

Yep , The Hall of Fame bar within the ground , Child friendly , reasonable priced beer , plus god (and suppliers ! )willing, cask ales on hand pump & now Sky Sports ,as well and only 10 yards from the pitch , how much further to the ground do you want ???

Is the date of the game definately sunday 5th? I saw Saturday 4th somewhere (think the BBC website)?

I've heard keighley have only sent us 1700 tickets.

Just wondering where the office actually is? Is it in the main building or that portacabin type building?

I will be coming Tuesday to get some tickets, will it be open till 7pm again?

Yes its the portakabin thing in the car park and i will be open until 7pm both Tuesday and Thursday and Saturday morning 10-2.

I will be sending Castleford some more tickets this week

I've got twin boys aged 2 and a half, will I have to pay £4, or is it free under a certain age?
