I suspect neil is still around because he's one of the creditors still owed a total in excess of £300,000.

I thought the debt was wiped out, apart from the club statement that they would endeavour to pay back some of the debt from any future profit.

As Dreamer says the debt was wiped out and with a clean slate. What the new board agreed was over the next few years as matter of good business and goodwill any profit made will be split and payment made to local former creditors the benefit of this is not only do locals get some money that was wiped out by going into administration but shows new board can be trusted more than previous regime.

Neil sadly and I mean this in a friendly way firmly believes he did nothing wrong by lying to players, sponsors, fans and the taxman and that is a worry.

What folk have to remember is whilst previously Neil clearly put money in he also took some back. End of day his time is up just wish those in his inner circle could get through to him, but then again why should they as they may then have to pay like the rest.

There is more that I am aware of but cannot publicly say but the fact the rfl found him UNFIT AND PROPER, this is not done on a whim and covers various checks, past records etc and risk of reoffending, its not just me but they know same as me.

Its a real shame things are like this and yes I go on about way too much but end of day it was not me who shafted the club and ruined the name of Keighley Cougars again.

He doesn't though, as alluded to before, he struts around as if it's still his club. At every home game his car parked right next to the gate with it's personal plates serving as a reminder of what he did to our club.

As a man he was taking the plaudits big time after we won in Warrington telling us how we well off we were. When the proverbial hit the fan where was he? Was he sorry? No. Has he ever apologised? No. Has ever shown any humility, remorse or regret regarding what happened? No.

He made 2 post match speeches that nearly started a riot in the bar, did he care? No.

At Whitehaven he managed to park up inside the stadium compound next to the team bus. When you bear in mind Micky was filming the game for Barry on a club pass and wasn't allowed to do the same, it makes you wonder how on earth he gets away with stuff like that as "just a normal fan".

He's lauding it and rubbing every other decent Keighley fan's nose in it.

I'm not an expert about the admin situation but I thought all debts were wiped clean.

Isn't it only the clubs vountary undertaking to pay back creditors IF the club makes a profit (and I think there were conditions). Not many RL clubs make a profit.

I have no problem with Neil as a fan, but the situation he put the club in is unacceptable - that is unless GW cares to tell us something we don't already know that mitigates thisicon_wink.gif

If there is something that mitigates this then I would expect Neils "followers" to be shouting it loud and long.

I say again Neil is not a creditor, and as Dreamer says there is massive difference between cannot say and will not say, its a case of cannot say as told by the person who supplied the info.

I found out that there were no directors of the club at Whitehaven and Neil was a representative of the club.

Can the club kindly confirm why by allowing this to happen knowing the feelings of fans, after all he is just a fan now so open this up to others if possible. I do not include myself in this.

He's listed as a creditor in the administrators proposals, alongside Farrar and Fawcett, local businesses, and the dreaded inland revenue.

Whether he'll ever get any money back is debatable, but he IS a creditor

AJ I am not disputing those you mentioned were on the proposals as creditors of cougars 2001 and any deal had to get acceptance of at least 75%to go for an iva of creditors which clearly was done, however once the organisation goes bust all debts are wiped clean including the tax bill.

Now the club is now a not for profit organisation any profits which for a rugby league club is small would be split 50% to club other to previous creditors but there is no obligation to do this but its more of goodwill gesture to keep locals sweet as.

Neil is not a creditor of cougars 2010.

In my opinion sending Neil Spencer as a rep for the club shows a mssive disregard by the new board towards some of the loyalest fans of the Cougars.

If Mr. Spencer is anything more than a creditor of Keighley Cougars 2001 - I have been spun the biggest bag of e I've ever heard....

If he has any influence within the club and or, receiving payment of any kind, I am back to supporting The Cougggrrrrs on Radio Leeds..

I've been attending again however, that was due to confirmation that Spencer was nothing to do with the club nor had any influence in club matters.

Whilst I very rarely question peoples integrity, it appears I have been told a huge porky..

I have received confirmation again that Neil has no role whatsoever at the club which is in line with rfl finding him unfit for being involved at club, and that he was at Whitehaven purely and simply because the other directors were not available, why he was asked is another debate.

The clubs rep at away games is Neil Cullen who as mentioned before had other comittments on the day.

As far as I amconcerned that satisfies me no matter what I think personally about his previous misdemeanours.

Can't say I'm impressed.

Why is Neil Cullen the only one to represent at away matches?? Not quite getting this if this a non profit business one must assume that the people behind the club are doing it for the club, the team and its fans and they too are fans. Are there many Clubs that turn up at Cougars without an official or Director from thier club?? Not sure how this works.
