| Cant wait for the game, there are a lot of similarities to when we last played your lot, you had just been promoted, we had just switched to playing summer rugby, we played a team from cumbria the week before and had a former keighley player as head coach! I hope it all leads to the same result
And Jason wont be donningthe boots again because if he did we would beat you by 50 instead of just by 40 that we will!!
Only kidding looking forward to the tie should be good for the club

It'll be a good experience for your lads to be facing up against the likes of Obst, March, Tadulala, Korkidas, and JD if they play. Anyway I hope wherever the game is played Dudley Hill make a decent wedge and it sets them up for the future.'"
I hope so too pal, its always good for amateur teams is the third round. Your team does look a lot better than last time as long as we give a good account of ourselves we will be happy, do you think he will play his strongest side possible or give a few fringe players a shot?

I could see him resting 3 or 4 of the veteran players, maybe something along the lines of.
1. Craig Moss
2. James Haythornthwaite
3. Ollie Pursglove
4. Danny Lawton
5. Gavin Duffy
6. Jy-Mel Coleman
7. Danny Jones
8. Andy Shickell
9. James Feather (c)
10. Neil Cherryholme
11. Richard Jones
12. Jode Sheriffe
13. Paul March
14. Ben Stead
15. Jamaine Wray
16. Brendan Rawlins
17. Jamie Shepherd

I think it could be a bit closer if you hve that side out than if you had JD, Korkidas and Obst in, how do you feel about Jode Sheriffe he played for heworth against us a couple of times last year strong with the ball but a bit off defensive wise

I'm quite impressed with him, he looks a good athlete. I think he's got a good chance of becoming a first team regular although we've a fair bit of depth in the pack. He's still quite young and working hard with some of the experienced talent we have at the club should only see him get better and better.

| This match is of sentimental value for me personally as Dudley Hill was the first game I went to back in 2004 before I started going regularly to watch the almighty Keighley Cougars. I had been a few times in the mid 90s, but I was too young to understand what was going on and don't remember it very well.
Anyone else would have probably been put off going back ever again after that defeat.
We could have got a draw out of it if we were able to score a conversion on the very last kick of the ball.
And so started my exciting times of the ups and downs of Keighley Cougars.
I'm hoping this fixture will be played at home. It would definitely generate more funds for Dudley Hill anyway due to the shared gate.
From my memory, they brought a good amount of fans last time, many of which insisted on wearing the attire of their neighbours in Odsal however.

No dis-respect to Dudley Hill, but the above side should be more than capable of beating them, and by some margin. The problem with playing "lesser" sides is the mindset of the players. They will be pumped up and we are likely to be less so. However, the players we have need to get used to treating every game with equal intensity both off and on the field.
We are a semi pro team who train part time and as such playing a game is actually a critical part of players keeping fit. As such I wouldn't like to see us rest too many first string players and see our league performance suffer.
Good luck to Dudley Hill, but I hope we put on a professional performance to show that we have developed a tougher mental attitude than we used to display in these type of games.

If they play at say 11am, there will be complaints from Keighley fans who can't attend: if they play it as a night match, kids can't attend. Either way there will be people who are unhappy.
I would imagine someone at Dudley hill has done their sums and worked out the best deal for them.
Why not give them a call and ask them..

I just think basically you need the best chance to get as big a crowd as possible, bear in mind a lot of our junior sides play sunday morning all over yorkshire and im sure the parents will all want to be at the game, I think 3pm is sensible although i do know of a couple of bulls fans who would have attended otherwise but all in all i would imagine it is a minority

| As Dudley Hill have been magnaminous in transferring the fixture to Lawkholme then why not allow them to decide the KO time? After all, it's their 'Home' game and they need to obtain some benefit from the fixture!
There's not going to be any need for the lights, so what's the problem?
Will anyone from the Club in an official capacity explain?

That's why I said that it would be nice to hear from someone giving the reasons .....
If there's no-one willing to offer an explanation then let some of the DH supporters air their preferences (please).

The reasons he said i meantioned were most of our numerous junior teams playing sunday morning we need the support of these people, regards the bulls game we have many bulls season ticket holders who are missing the game to come to cougar park so should be a few

I think you'll find that I said that.
I was simply suggesting that he had put forward some valid reasons, from a Dudley Hill perspective, why the game time had been chosen.
I spoke to someone last night who said the Bulls had been approached regards a Friday night game and refused. I don't know how valid that is.

| From the Cougars' website - in case anyone has missed it:
Quote Pricing for Dudley Hill game
Dudley Hill have confirmed the pricing for the match to be held at Cougar Oark on 25th March.
This will be £10 adult, £5 for concessions and under 16’s plus a family entry for £20 (2 adults, 2 children). Due to the RFL ruling at the start of the season all season ticket holders have to pay for entry to all Challenge Cup rounds (including Super League) except junior season ticket holders who are ‘free entry’.'"
Thanks to Dudley Hill for this offer. Let's hope that a decent crowd turns-up to support their team.

He went back last week. not sure when he's coming back.
If his performances in the NRC were anything to by I would have stuck a fair few quid on him scoring 4 or 5 tries against you. Really quick and powerful and takes a hell of a lot of stopping as Rochdale found out.
