26 to us 18 to them. The biggest worry is going to be thr crowd figure.
If its below 500 then its a major worry.

Skolars seem to have improved a lot but I think our defence will be too strong for them so I'll say.

Have to agree. This division is a real worry from a financial point of view.

At home I would expect us to beat skolars by at least two scores, but as we have seen, anything can happen.

I notice Tolouse beat fax yesterday.

Cougars 52 skolars 18. Attendance 852. Its hard for a.y club especially outside sl without the hard times let alone the weather. If anyone saw the televised games this weekend the grounds were hardly anywhere near full.

Our average attendance last year was just over 1000, with the lowest against Tolouse (736).

Unless we can boost the home crowd, we will see some low attendences this year. I can't imagine Whitehaven, Workington, London and Scorpions bringing many.

At least the club is trying to address the situation; the £15 family ticket is fantastic value for two adults and upto three kids.

With regards to Hunslet and York - would have expected them to pull over 1000.

No offence, but i dont care about Hunslet or York.

As dreamer has correctly pointed out. This league is going to put real problems into the clubs finance's.

Playing Tolouse and London back to back, was always going to be a indicter of our crowds.
After a superb win against Tolouse, to then see our home crowd drop by so much is a real worry.

Whilst I appreciate our primary concern is the Cougars, Sanjunien makes a good point with regard to a Championship game only attracting 606. I agree our attendances are worrying, however, we never expected London/Toulouse to bring an army of supporters. Hunslet/York are not a million miles away from each other and I would have expected a far higher crowd. Looking at it this way the Cougars' attendance maybe wasn't all doom and gloom.

Maybe we don't care about York/Hunselt, but it's all relative.

Getting the fans back is not going to be an overnight process and I applaud the clubs efforts. Tough econonmic times are certainly not helping.

This coupled with a fractured league programme. Gone are the days when one week teams were home the next away.

If we do well in our next two away games we have a potentially big home game against Oldham on 3rd April. This just happens to be Mothers day!!
