I'd rather finish 6th or 7th and actually be able to pay the players then overspend and almost go out of business mid season again.
Funny you chose to mention Hunslet- a club that get considerably lower crowds than us but are now able to make much better signings. And why is this? It's because they've built slowly and always lived within their means, a very well run club by all accounts.
The club needs a season of stability after the mismanagement last year and hopefully have a proper go at promotion the season after. Tough to accept but our only choice.
This is a very, very disappointing and worrying state of affairs and poses the inevitable question on the true motives of the new owners.
When people repeatedly go back on their word they become unworthy of trust. I won't be renewing my season ticket until the new owners issue a verifiable explanation as to our future.
