I get your point Alec to a certain extent, but in 45 years technology has moved on. Years gone by I'm sure fans chewed the fat over the performances in the pub, but now with the advancements of IT and social networking fans and players express their thoughts in this way. As long as it's constructive I don't think there's a problem with fans expressing their views. Players I'm sure will look on here and have twitter accounts. Some may even agree with some of the comments....
As for the fans, as Stealth has said we're not all the same and have different views. If they choose to have a debate over something in the stands and it's not offensive or out of hand where is the problem? I've had debates with opposing fans in the past which was all in good spirit. That's what's good about our sport and I don't think that should change. It would be a bit dull if we had to keep stum on the stands for fear of upsetting the sensitive.
