Quote ="Dreamer"Noble sentiments, but since this is not a problem peculiar to Keighley why discuss it on a Keighley [irugby [/iforum viewed by a couple of hundred people at most?'"
If one person reading it, weather that be a parent, who notices there child is withdrawn/quite/suddenly struggling at school. who may just start to realise something is not quite right. Or God forbid a child caught up in something terrible. Starts to think they can ask for help from a teacher, someone in the family who they can trust or a policeman/woman then it has to be worthwhile.
Or don't you think so?
Quote ="Dreamer"There is a forum on these boards especially for this type of O/T subject called the "Sin Bin", as well you know. It can be discussed on there with input from a much wider audience (most read thread has over 30,000 views) and in a more meaningful way.'"
True enough, but that doesn't mean a O/T subject, cannot be discussed on here does it.
Quote ="Dreamer"Are you and expert????? Are you a child psychologist????? What sort of [i"good"[/i do you think you will do and are you qualified to know [iwhat[/i is good.'"
I have never tried to make out, i am a expert in any subject. Also if [iyou[/i have to be a expert to discuss things, then we might as well shut down every forum. You mentioned about posting this thread on the sin bin. If [iwe[/i have to be experts thats not going to happen is it.
Thank God people are allowed to have a opinion.
Quote ="Dreamer"Perhaps you should also have threads on "asians grooming young white girls for sex", "selling of drugs to primary school children", "wife beating", abuse in mental institutions, rape, radicalisation of minorities into extremists and terrorists etc......'"
All very good subjects to be discussed, in the right manner.
Quote ="Dreamer"I can understand you point of view and concern but these are difficult and complex subjects and I don't think rugby message boards are an appropriate forum.'"
This isn't just a rugby board. Its a rugby board that can also be used for O/T threads.
