Read in paper and on ceefax they need to raise £500k by end of month they are asking fans to buy shares to get total, in part as result of dosh spent on now seemingly defunct new ground. This will have rfl rubbing hands with glee as clearly they will be happy to s3 them relegated unless of course rfl treat them same as Crusaders which will not happen as in the name of development the welsh can do no wrong. That being said along with Cas Wakey are deluded to think in the current climate 2 new grounds would be built, their crowds would not justify it. Whilst feeling sorry for players and fans were they or others concerned when Cougars were in the mire or even Blackpool going bust. I hope no club goes that way but if on the back of this they are demoted then so be it. At least that way JD could end up playing Wakey in the championship.
Wakefield have had long enough to sort their ground out, don't forget they got into SL on a promise of ground redevelopment. They should have sorted their ground out a long time ago not leaving it until the threat of being kicked out is staring them in the faces. Sympathy for the fans and players but the blame in firmly with the club...
It's about time that the clubs took a stand against the RLF and say that 'enough is enough'.
It would appear that the RFL don't live on this planet, let alone in the North of England. How on earth can they expect any club to crawl through hoops in order to meet their UNREASONABLE demands in the current economic climate?
How on earth do Trinity expect WMDC's taxpayers to fund a stadium when they only attract such meagre crowds?
We had a revolution in the Northern Union over 100 years ago and it could be time for another.
OK, if the RFL demand squeaky-clean stadia with no atmosphere and crowds penned into the side opposite the cameras to give the impression of a full stadium then let them have it along with their 'cherry-picked' clubs but leave the rest to the true supporters. If enough clubs said that 'enough is enough' then they could go-alone and continue to exist.
I can't understand why, well I can, that SL clubs 'roll-over and have their bellies tickled' by the RFL and SKY yet do nothing to help themselves.
