Seconded. We all have commitments or obstacles outside of Cougars that stop us attending every game. Clearly we live in the wrong place, or have our work - life balance completely wrong.
Doesn't stop us supporting, or make us worse supporters.
Every win excites, every loss depresses.
We're still there and always will be...
Cougarrrrs!!!!
Girl Power asked me about this, and I worked it out using Metro's journey planner. To get to a 3.00 Sunday game, I'd have to leave here just after 11.30. If I made a mad dash for the station after the game (and assuming it didnt overrun too much) I'd get home at 7.45 in the evening.
And that 'mad dash' wouldnt be that mad, I'm past 50 and far from fit!
So 8 1/4 hours for 80 minutes rugby doesnt seem good maths to me on a regular basis. There are also other things I have to do in my life in my brief periods of time off.
Oh, and League Fan, dont need the day rover, I have a Metro pass for commuting to work in Leeds at least 5 days a week! Probably another reason why I dont fancy travelling by trains on Sunday other than when I'm working!
