That's the equivalent of being Albanian dwarf wrestling champion, and about as worthwhile a title on the world stage.

1 - I'm not Australian
2 - I'm not a professional boxer therefore am unlikely to get a licence
Kinda prevents me from fighting for the Australian heavyweight championship, but don't let facts get in the way.
Which Top 10 rated heavyweight did Hopoate beat to win this prestigious belt?

I get it, you're number 3 in their rankings aren't you?
Oh, and as for that list Fredie's just put up, whose rankings are those? Given that David Haye is in the frame to fight one of the Klitschko brothers next year, it does seem somewhat odd that he's not even in the top 15.

It's an absolute joke! We need a good champions, a people's champion! Haye will be the best for that.. some love him, some hate him. Atleast he's a character

Not confirmed yet, but it's almost definitely off (probably confirmed tomorrow). Pacman wanted a 60-40 split in cash after they verbally agreed a 50-50 split. Hatton apparently offered a 52-48 split in Pacman's favour, but he has turned the offer down.
Greedy c*nt! Manny has lost alot of respect from me. This would've been the biggest fight of 2009 by a mile.

JMM would be good because he'd have to move up in weight. Saying that he is total class, he won the second fight with Pacman IMO, and will be seriously hard to beat, at whatever weight they fight. Whether the money would be there I'm not sure, JMM deserves to be a bigger draw than he is. On top of that its probably the only fight he could take at LWW. Every other name is at WW. (I wouldn't rule out a fight with Cotto, but Hatton would really struggle IMO)
As for Maywheather. Hatton should stay well away and have one more fight against a top class fighter, because if he took him on now the result would be the same as last time.
A fight with DLH would be pointless if Hatton's is looking to inflate his legacy. Although I'm sure it would significantly inflate his bank balance. And if he wants to become P4P number he shouldn't fight DLH, as he's shot.

| Big money fight but an irrelevant one. What weight would they fight at? Whichever weight it is at completely affects one of the fighters. If it's at 140lbs, De La Hoya will be weight drained by miles. If it's 147lbs +, Hatton won't be able to fight to his strengths. He's never gone above 147lbs either, whereas De La Hoya's ideal weight now is at 154lbs.
Of the three fights mentioned (Mayweather, JMM/Diaz and De La Hoya) it's the fight I'd like to see the least.

| I would love to see a hatton marquez fight happen, marquez is one of my favourite fighters and deserves to be in the big fights, he'd definatly give hatton some problems as well.
Who would people back in the pac man mayweather fight?
Despite the long lay off i think floyd would be too good for pacquiao and make him wish he took the 50% to fight hatton instead.

irrelevant to you maybe but not to hatton who'll get to fight and sell out wembley, oscar who'll be involved in the biggest fight, money wise,in history and of course their bank managers will love it...hatton's only got a handful of fights left in him,he needs to make hay while the sunshines...and all that crap.
and for those talking about splits....apparently the ODH v pacman split was 68-32 in ODH favour

| Pacman is still being a greedy b@stard! Lost respect for him and should the fight take place, I hope Hatton knocks his head off.
Loved Hatton's interview today btw. Anyone hear it? His last comment was quality "Get your bic out!"
