Provincial rugby is the second tier in NZ behind Super 14 - it's the NZ equivalent of the Championship in British RL.

That said, the domestic NZ RL competition isn't that far removed from a park league these days is it?

So that would explain the poor rugby union crowds.

NPC crowds for the current season are about the same level as ESL crowds for the current season; given ESL is played in far more densely populated areas and immensely better transport links not convinced those attendences are poor . Bear in mind it runs parallel with the tri-nations. NPC used to be the elite competition ion NZ it no longer is.

Isn't it the national game in New Zealand?

It's still much better than the RL equivalent, which is a gaudy disgrace.

They've gone down the same lines as the football team it looks. No way would you pay £50 for that.

I wouldn't pay £5 for it because I hate union, but I think that's a classy shirt. The England football shirt is just a polo shirt with England badges.

Clean and simple, but at 50 quid I wouldn't go near it.
