I'm never confident with these games. Under Rafa, our record against United has been pretty poor if I'm being honest, we got two great wins last year, though, so it makes things very unpredictable. I think it's fair to say United should be favourites, but that matters little in the big games.

I agree on this Rob. No matter where the clubs are at form wise this fixture always seems to be a leveller. It's like a cup final for both teams.

I've been surprised by the lack of form in liverpool, even on european nights it is flat. If they can't rise for that then there is something wrong but I just cannot see them not being pumped up for this. United are winning but not looking spectacular but I reckon Berbatov is looking good this season and Giggs is on the best form he has been in in ages so its an intriguing one.

No idea on Rooney, he's rated as doubtful, so presume it will be a last minute job. If Rooney doesn't play, Owen simply has to start, Berbatov looks much better when he has a striker alongside him.

If Rooney does start, Owen will no doubt get 15/20 at the end. I'm meant to be playing footy at 5 tomorrow, there is no way that I am turning up sober, I'll need a drink or two to calm the old nerves and hopefully celebrate.

Think because of his history of injuries, Fergie may see him as a "Super Sub" in the way Ole was. If Rooney doesn't make it, wonder if he will put Macheda or Welbeck on the bench. They both shown promise last season an we could do with one or both of them forcing their way into the team so we don't rely to heavily on Wayne.
