The big question now for Evertonians is which club will come in for Jack Rodwell first? I would welcome a bid from anyone bar City the way things are going with them. He was superb tonight, scoring two and he looks such a talent, pacy, strong, two footed, good in the air, good passing etc he's got it all.

He's nothing like Scholes.

Modric and Ireland, while not clones of Scholes, are much more like Ginge than Rodwell.

The point was the Scholes is in his last season imo and I think Rodwell would sit very nicely in Utd's midfield alongside with Carrick or Anderson.

I've said all along that Rodwell could go as far as he wants to go in the game...he seems to have everything going for him in the modern game...maybe he will be the longer-term replacement for Lescott?? I think most Everton observers see him as a centre-half eventually...still at not much older than 18 years old he needs game time at the minute to build his experience and staying at Everton will give him that

I think Hull should be given some credit for trying to sign a good player from outside the Prem. It would have been an expensive risk but they were prepared to do it. Fair play, I say.
