Excellent race in Assen today.

Stoner wins again by a clear margin over Pedrosa, who finishes 2nd to go to the top of the championship.

Colin Edwards takes 3rd place (fighting back from 12th) after Nicky Hayden runs out of fuel on the final corner!

Rossi falls on the first lap but battles back to 12th from 14 finishers. Toseland finishes 9th.

Unlucky for Bradley Smith in the 125's though. Had a 3.086sec lead before the race was stopped due to rain. Race was restarted as a 5-lap sprint but he couldn't hold on to the lead and came in 5th.

After fracturing his wrist and fingers,then having an op on them as well as a badly sprained ankle you'd forgive Pedrosa for not racing this week,but he'll be there,trying to race!All i have to do is put my feet up in a bar in Magaluf and watch the mayhem.

Il be just getting to my hotel in Las Vegas in time to watch it aswell

Great race last night.It's about time Stoner and Rossi had a proper battle. Why couldn't Stoner just take his hat off to Rossi at the end though? He made himself sound like a right cry baby.

The reports I saw were pathetic, I don't understand why he's so favoured by many. He's a whiner who claims all the credit for a win and attempts to shift all the blame for a loss onto the bike and it's setup.

To be honest, it wouldn't surprise me if more follow for next season. I can honestly see the GP's going to a single-tyre comp next year.

Michelin wouldn't stand a chance with getting that gig.
But i think Bridgestone have said they wont be able to get tyres for each team or something along those lines

I think you're right about Michelin - they've blown any chance of getting any more deals for a good while yet.

As for Bridgestone, if the chance came up I'm sure that they'd find the wherewithal to make it work. Dunlop and Pirrelli manage to supply even more bikes on much smaller budgets.
