I know if this was United now, and City were in the Europa, I'd desperately be hoping United got their act together and finished in the top two of their group, assuming fourth place is not an option.

Dani Pacheco was a shining light in last season pre season games. Andres Iniesta is lightweight as are a number of techinical gifted spanish players.

I would play Ferdinand and Evans at the back. Vidic is looking shaky and was owned by Torres last season at OT.

IMO neither Vidic or Ferdinand are fully fit, both have looked shaky, but Rio more than Vidic, they both need to play to get back in form. Plus, with Anderson in the form of his life Gerrard won't have a look in to feed Torres.

you know Scholes is still quality at 34, still one of the most accurate passes in the prem. might not get the amount of goals he used to but he has adapted his game just like Giggs has.
