Would make me laugh. But I think a lot of it is just people trying to inflate the drama and get themselves quoted on twitter and the internet.

Odds have come way down on Mikel staying, due to that rumour. The bookies rarely shift their odds without a good reason.

Not that it matters, once the abuse from the s comes, he'll lose any will to play and be off in Jan, which is sad as, if he stays, I think he's got enough class to play on as normal.

Don't see why not. They are saying on the radio the deal for both the player and the club is the same they mentioned earlier in the week. All that has changed is Mereiles has been trying to push through the deal and Liverpool have given him an ultimatum to hand in a transfer request to ease the PR for them. An agent on the phone reckons they can sign deals anyway without medicals and all that is required is a signature on a piece of paper (That could be printed out at his house) and the form being sent to the Premier League.

He's the best striker at the club, there was probably no contingency plan in place for a replacement, so why should McCoist sell himself short for 5 months. If Leicester are really that interested, they will have to wait till January, and if Rangers want to sell then, I'm sure they will have potential replacements in place.

Me personally, I hope he ends up staying.

Another horrible transfer deadline day at Goodison, I didn't think we'd get a repeat of the Rooney debacle but Everton manage to do it again. Complete pi$$ take, losing two strikers and our only creative player in the squad and we've possibly brought in one striker and a left winger, if they've gone through.

It's not the idea of Arteta leaving that pi$$ed me off as much as the timing of it, I'm gutted he's gone as he's out only creativity in midfield and he's a game changer, although he hasn't been at his best since his injury, but the timing of it is a ballache, it's impossible to sign anyone when a deal goes through this late and by January that moneu will be lining the bank's @rse pocket. The deal just means the bank will be off Kenwright's back for a few months at least.

We were desperate for a striker this morning and although we've signed one we've let two leave to add insult to injury. we've raised at £15m today and where the fook will it go, the bank. Once again we've rolled over and let the big clubs pick our players off us without any fight.

I'm undecided. We're definitely going to miss him but the onus is on the remaining players to step up and do something. If we suffer an injury to Fellaini or Osman we do look frightfully weak. Fella, Osman, Barkley and Drenthe isn't a bad midfield. Moyes will probably throw Heitinga and Rodwell in there as well.

I'm not a huge Osman fan, he's a decent player and hard worker but that's it. It doesn't look too bad a midfield on paper, you're right but an injury or two and we're screwed. We could be screwed anyway to be honest. Really poor decision making by the club, do a Spurs and say you're not going anywhere.

We're weaker upfront too if we've lost Beckford and Yakubu because Saha is prone to an injury or two, we need Denis to be a decent signing.
