Oh what a great few days it has been....

Hope mods don't mind but given the SPL thread got lost ages ago and everyone seems to discuss the EPL in the pre-season thread i thought i'd get one going on transfers, predictions, friendlies etc for it.

What do people think then?

Are Rangers in free-fall offloading players?
Is it Celtics title to lose and how many minutes silences will they boo this year?
How will both fair in Europe?
Will Dundee Utd keep up and maybe split the 2?
Will Hearts have a Tesco on their stadium come the end of the season?
Will Hibs break a 10,000 attendance now they have a sy new lego stand?
Is Mark McGee in talks with every British player this summer and will he sign any?
Will anyone care about the rest?



So far Hearts have had a pre-season in Italy and have beaten a pub team there 2-1. Squad looks stronger than last year and weighs in a lot lighter without Nade. Current mood: optimistic. 4th place finish and at least Q-F of the Cup.

It'll still be Rangers and Celtic as the top two teams in Scotland.

I don't go along with all this "it's Celtic title to lose, Rangers are in free-fall" stuff.

Celtic at times last season looked light years behind Rangers. Whether the damage Mowbray did can be undone in the space of one off-season is debatable, no matter how weakened Rangers may be with the departures they've had.

I don't agree with all of the above, those were just the questions put to the board in relation to people options and 'knowledge' away from here.

Will Neil Lennon be a good manager is the biggest question for Celtic. Failure to get into Champions League and not winning few of their opening SPL games and it could go T1ts up from there.

Is it true that Time Team are pitching up at the PBS this season to a do a nine month feature on the artefacts in the Wheatfield? Could even get David Attenborough in to take a look at the wildlife living within it as well.

I don't know why Hearts and Hibs bicker every alternate season about europe, let's be right, we never actually qualify for the proper stuff.

. You lot might beat Mordor FC or whatever, but you ain't getting past the next stage. It's nothing more than a nice trip and a full house home leg. (though whether that applies to Hibs and both counts i'm not sure as they never go away or fill legoland).

Have a look on .net or the Bounce and you'll see how many different routes people are choosing. Leigh took 400 to Toulouse last year but only 23 were on the official club trip!


Maribor are a very handy side, as can be seen from their previous exploits in the Champions League, so I don't particularly fancy us, but the whole point of playing in Europe is that it is a reward for doing well in the league.

No idea how you're planning on paying Kyle's food bill though.
