Like Herm Edwards said "You play to win the game". To be honest I would have rather we lost last night, it's highly likely we are one and done against the Saints.
The Rams play calling was bizarre to say the least, Seattle's D has given up more big plays than anybody else this season. All the Rams wanted to do was throw swing passes and 5 yard slants.
This will lead to the NFL changing the rules with regards qualifying for the play offs.

I really hope they don't. It'd ruin the concept of divisions if it was just the best 6 records made it in.
One idea which i read (i can't remember where, i think it was on a different forum) was that your record just alterred your seeding rather than the actual qualification for the play-offs which i think is OK if they are going to alter the system.
So the division winners and two others with the highest record (Wildcard) are in the play-offs but then your seed is soley based on your record.
This causes problems though where a division winner has a worse record than a wildcard, like this year. It's unfair for a division winner to have to play a road game against a wildcard winner.

I think thats what they will do. No one is saying division winners with crap records should not be in the playoffs just that the 4 division winners and 2 wildcard should be seeded by records, for instance the Seahawks wouldn`t be a higher seed than the Saints because the Saints record is far superior.
There`s a lot of arguments for and against but I reckon they will change the rules

| They shouldn't change anything. FFS, it's happened once in the history of the NFL. You win your division, you should get a home game. If they really want to change the seeding then they should factor in strength of schedule. Why should a team jump above another one with a better record just because they have a better record when they've played a cupcake schedule? I know that both us and Seattle have had a fairly easy schedule this season anyway but All this stuff about changing things is yet another knee jerk reaction to something that might not even happen again for years anyway.

They should have given him one more season IMO. They kind of faltered towards the end of the year but they're putting together a decent offense. With a decent draft they could be a decent team next season.
Still, not as bad as Tom Cable being fired which is ridiculous.

He`s had 2 years and has done naff all , at least in Oaklands case they look like they are improving whereas the Browns are not again IMO
The Browns seem to be the same every year so getting a Superbowl winning coach like Gruden or even Holmgren himself can only help

As i have a interest in the Seahawks it would be difficult to disagree with your statement...But the fans are something else
They got behind their team when it mattered, poor team maybe but the fans are brilliant...no glory hunters there ![bow down a014.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//a014.gif)

10-6 for us again. Got some hard teams in there. With the exception of the NFC West. Although I expect huuge improvement in most of them.

Yeah, tell us about it. Weve been killed by injuries this year. I would have liked to have seen what we could have done with a full season out of McCoy and Talib. They made a big diference been out the last month. Losng Cody Grimm too. Looking forward to getting TJax back too. We should have a cracking team next season with a few additions. Think we had 11 players out yeterday. Anyway theres no way we will lose all 4 games against the Saints and Atlanta. Ill go for a split and say:
Falcons W
Panthers W
Saints W
Bears L
Lions W
Colts L
Texans W
Cowboys L
Falcons L
Panthers W
Saints L
Packers L
Vikings W
Jaguars W
Titans W

I agree entirely.
I don't think it should be changed at all. It is a shame that some good teams miss out but they have 3 spots they can get (you can win your division or get 1 of 2 wildcard spots) if they can't do that then tough.
If a team is poor, in relation to the other play-off teams, then them making the play-offs and having a home game is irrelvant as the wildcard will be good enough to beat them.

In the first round I have picked
QB- Drew Brees
RB`s- LeSean McCoy-Ray Rice
WR`s- Reggie Wayne-Marques Colston
TE- Jacob Tamme
K- David Akers
DEF- Saints
I think you can set up a league but not 100% sure

| I like our chances next year based on the schedule we have.
We've managed to get to 10-6 this year despite having 14 players on IR and we've actually had the hardest/highest strength of schedule of any of the play-off teams this year along with being one of the youngest teams in the league.
Next Years Schedule
Home- Vikes (W), Bears (W), Lions (W), Saints (L), Bucs (W), Broncos (W), Raiders (W), Rams (W)
Away- Vikes (L), Bears (L), Lions (W), Falcons (L), Panthers (W), Chargers (W), Chiefs (W), Giants (W)
12-4 IMO. We've gone 4-2 in the division every year since McCarthy has been HC. We could possibly drop the Chargers and Giants away but I fancy no worse that 10-6.

This year. Our strength of schedule this year is the highest of any of the teams in the play-offs. (I think Detroits is the highest overall).
Thats what i read anyway. It says it on the ESPN website about the draft orders.

| This year you had the 22nd hardest strength of schedule according to the nfl.com schedule maps, don`t forget it goes off all your opponents cumilative records from the year before, so this years counts towards next years strength of schedule.
