| Quote ="Wanderer"Barrow -2pts looks the call tonight.
Widnes look like a ship without a rudder minus Mark Smith and James Webster.
Barrow have one or two injury problems but have brought back Grand Final tryscorer Andreus Bauer and look to have just a little more class and a little more strength in depth.
A quick look at the team news would help as the return of Zeb Luisi would only serve to add further confidence.'"
Poor call, Barrow barely at the races. If Widnes had a goalkicker the game would have been over by half time.

| Fame and Glory should mop up tomorrow at skinny odds. I know Sariska handles the track as well but Fame and Glory should have too much.
I fancy Timepiece in the Oaks. I know she is second fiddle on stable jockey bookings, but this race looks VERY wide open - not a two horse race like Sariska and Midday slugged out last year. Henry Cecil thinks a lot of Timepiece so wouldn't surprise me to see her come good tomorrow.

| Ended up with a small E/W bet on Meeznah at the last minute. Remembered the name from somewhere then the video form reminded me of it's belting victory last time out. Shame she couldn't quite get there but it was a great run none the less.

| Great ride by Ryan!
On to tomorrow's racing and the Epsom Derby Day highlight - the Epsom Dash.
[uEpsom Dash[/u
Jaconnet - One filly that really takes my eye is Ted Barron's Jaconnet. She's better known for her exploits on the all-weather surfaces of Lingfield and usually in a higher grade that she's racing in here today. She can be forgiven her run last time out at Thirsk which came just two days after being reeled in by Johannes in a valuable 5f sprint at York's Dante meeting. Her trainer knows the time of day in these big sprints and wouldn't send her here if he felt she wasn't ready for this, the 5f will suit her as will the downhill nature of the course given the blistering early speed she shows. She will be up there early and the only negative is the draw (5) which is out in the centre of the track - which her early pace should negate and she can get across to the rail.
Advice: 2pts Win, 1pt Place @ 20/1 (Stan James)

| Had a tenner on F & G, purely because it meant I'd staked enough overall to qualify me for a free bet which I will probably use on the big one tomorrow.

| Might take Wakey +16 for tonights game @ 10/11. Hills are +18 but the 10/11 is gone, now 8/11.

| Just got in and watched the Oaks, top ride Ryan Moore.
1st decent winner I've had for a while, with a few quid at 16's at lunchtime.
Not coming on here after the event pretending I knew something as I didn't (I never do ), but just backed it in my lunch hour on a whim purely on the basis it was supplemented but I''ll take it all the same.
Might re-invest some on Carney's tip for tomorrow, as I always miss out when he lands a big one.

| King Kenny is around 2/1 joint with O neil. Bet 365 has him at 5/1 however. I've lumped on and if you have a fiver on bingo, you get a free 25 pound. So I did, and won around 180quid on the deal and no deal bingo.
I've had worst days
F000KING BINGO (won't be going on it again though)

| Doesn't look to be a lot of depth in tomorrows big race. Lots of horses that are all capable of beating each other at the top level, so for that reason I am going with the one that looks the class act in the field, the jolly, Jan Vermeer. Bloodlessly disposed of the opposition, giving half a stone, on his re-appearance and looks as if he is certain to stay. Workforce, Bullet Train, Azmeel and Midas Touch will all have a nice win to look forward to somewhere I'm sure, but for tomorrow I'm siding with the form in the book and piling a bit on the favourite with possible a small EW bet on something around 14/1.

| Bin Suroor had another couple of winners today and a close 2nd in the opener... As I said earlier the stable's horses look to be coming good and are well worth following over the next few weeks after a torrid start to the season.
Verdant for Stoute and Moore in the opener at Epsom tomorrow looks banker material to me. Thought Ryan Moore gave it a bit too much to do last time when a beaten favourite and could have finished a lot closer IMO. That race is looking like it could have been a pretty hot handicap though with the winner (Green Moon) coming out again and dotting up off a mark of 96 and the runner up (Monterosso) also coming out and winning comfortably off a mark of 94. Verdant is currently rated 89 and is potentially at least a stone better than that mark IMO. Like I say I thought Moore gave it too much to do last time and possibly expected to pick up better than it did having finished like a train when winning previously. Should have no problem coming with a late run at a course like Epsom and I can see Moore swooping late and winning convincingly. Stoute has also saddled the winner of this race 3 times in the last 6 years for good measure!
11/4 looks a belting price to me and I can see money for it tomorrow...

| The one I fear is Rewilding. Superb for Andre Fabre, ran close the favourite for tomorrows French Derby, and was thought a lot of by French connections.
Although, if Godolphin can get the best out of him there are question marks - like with a lot of the horses they buy after a good start to their career.
