Ricky is a massive draw probably one of the biggest if not the biggest in the sport

Starting at a young age and training with Mayweather several times a week id say no.
Born into the Mayweather family and brought up with boxing gloves instead of scratch mits then yes.
Most of what Hatton is about is natural raw aggression and strength. It can't be trained.

Hey anyone can go for the favourite
I was impressed with Hatton. The best he's been since Kostya Tszyu.

Probably feels like he's been on the biggest bender of his like, and then hit in the head with a plank of wood.
It was painful to watch, I couldn't imagine how he actually felt.

| Whether Pacman beats Oscar or not, Hatton should fight him. I don't think anyone could beat Hatton at 140lbs. But he always seems to struggle when moving up divisions.

It's the only fight he should be considering IMO, totally agree with you, even if Manny loses to Oscar, it's got to be Hatton/Pacman at 140 next.

When was the last time De La Hoya boxed at 147?

March 2001 against Gatti.
I just don't see the appeal of a fight with Oscar who is too big for Hatton IMO. Obviously the only appeal that fight would bring would be the money. It shouldn't be about the money now though with Ricky, he's comfortable enough and should be looking at what fight offers the best prospect for the fans.
Even if Oscar beats Pacman, I would still prefer Ricky to fight Pacman rather than De La Hoya, it would certainly be explosive, that's for sure.

So would I. Those two are made to fight each other. We'd get an an amazing fight.

He looks like Viktor Krum from Harry Potter. Mental that he was able to take all those hits to the head.
Good fight from Hatton, although there were still moments of defensive weakness, although that will improve with time I'm sure.
I thought the Prizefighters was a good tournament.
Still not been to bed yet, feeling very very tired.

| Great performance from Ricky but I was very disapoointed in Malignaggi. As soon as he felt the force of Hatton he didn't want to know. Still, a superfightat 140 against Pacquio would be awesome and if Hatton can perform like that again, I'd back him to win it.

| Looking like Hatton will face De La Hoya, but Hatton is good friends with De La Hoya, surely they won't be smashing eachother into oblivion like Hatton would have done had he fought some else...?

In fairness to your bummer mate he is a top quality performer. He has never avoided the big names and has beaten the likes of Marco Antonio Barrera twice, Erik Morales twice and Juan Manuel Marquez. I feel a past it de la Hoya will be no match for a 29 year old Pacquiao.

| I was massively dissapointed with Paulie, he talked up a good fight during the build-up but was overwhelmingly outclassed by a rejuvenated Ricky Hatton. I know Paulie was talking about the humilation of his trainer throwing the towel in, but I thought going 11 rounds getting knocked from pillar to post without throwing anything back was slightly more humiliating.
Ricky was fantastic though and when he is fighting at his natural weight there is nobody around who would beat him. As he said though, he could stay there now and not move up, but sort of champion would he be? You cant knock him for wanting to prove he is the best and based on that performance on Saturday night you would be a fool to back against him putting one over either De La Hoya or Pacquio.
Still a number of flaws Ricky has to iron out of his game, including stepping back after hitting his opponent. I lost count the number of times Paulie's legs had gone, only for Hatton to get close and give him something to hold onto to. It didnt matter to much as there was nothing coming from Paulie, but against someone like De La Hoya or Pacquio it could turn a fight.
Anyway, fingers crossed the big fight comes off (preferably Pacquio at 140) at either COM or Wembley infront of 100,000 fans. Could you imagine?

| Malignaggi was the most negative boring fighter I've witnessed in ages. Like Hopkins without the skill or power.
Hatton looked very good, with he'd throw more right hands though, he seems to wander in, step left and look to get that left straight round the defence of the opponent. Mayweather worked that out after 1 round.
