Surely Wayne Bridge should get a similar reaction to Terry. After all, Bridge was shagging the ex gf of Gudjohnsen and Adrian Mutu. Gudjohnsen was still a team mate when Bridge went after her. At least JT had the good grace to let Bridge leave the club before he went after her.

Terry should remain as captain. Only alternative is Rooney and he doesn't need the added pressure, especially with the way he is playing at the moment. His time as England captain will come.

I agree about him being the golden boy. But the problem with that is that he isn't always going to be the golden boy who the press love. He's always on the brink of getting himself a red card and one red card in the WC will be enough for him to be public enemy number 1. The press would love to build him up as high as possible before bringing him back down with a bang.

There'll probably be a bit of mischief from our fans tomorrow towards Bridge. It's to be expected, and let's face it, if it upstes him, he'll go home to his large house and console himslf with a huge pile of cash. Why should fans be respectful of the emotions of legalized highwaymen?

John Terry was Hull's opponent in mid-week. Hull fans had fun booing him. But I think even they'd admit they didn't effect Terry's performance at all.

Wayne Bridge is Hull's opponent at the weekend. While Hull fans won't hold the animosity towards Bridge that they do against Terry, he's still an opponent. They will probably have far more success winding Bridge up than they had with Terry.

John Terry has given Fabio Capello all the reason he needs to strip him of the captaincy. He only has himself to blame for losing the position he wanted and which clearly meant a lot to him.

But certain parts of the media have clearly gone out of their way to make sure that his indiscretions were made public, and they've gone out of their way to create some of these indiscretions.

The media clearly wanted JT stripped of the captaincy and now they've got it. They've achieved their goal. Well done to the Brtish press.

I don't think Terry has done that much wrong. All coaching manuals state: "If the full back leaves a hole, it's the centre backs job to fill it."

I never said that, but things like that, or picking up a random girl with a mate and spit-roasting her, are unlikely to cause too many problems for a player with his team-mates in the squad are they?
