Unfortunately,sentiment like that in the PL will bite you on the ar$e....he should have gone this year.....his record is awful.....you need a good overhaul of the team for next season...

I think the two clubs face different issues with there respective debts though, in Liverpools case they have a £350m loan with £30m a season interest payments now this would only becomes a problem when the debt becomes more than the clubs worth which at a guess i'd put at around £500m. IMO for them to become one of the top clubs value wise they would have to build a 70k+ stadium which they would more than likely have to go further into debt which could affect the money Benitez could spend on his squad (see Arsenal with the Emirates).

As for Manchester United and the Glazers the debt is considerabley larger around the £700 mark (scary aint it) with interest of £68m per year (bet they wish they'd have had a tracker mortgage now) but i'd say the club is valued around the £1bn mark and from what i read the other month all of the debt isn't actually secured against the club as 30% is secured against the Glazers assets (although i'd like to see comformation).

The main difference between the two clubs is we already have the infastructure in place we have a modern ground that is full week in week out with 76k every week and have a huge globel fanbase, we have a superb scouting system with acadamies all over the world to pick up the cream of the young tallent. Even with the proposed extesion to the southstand which will cost in the region of £100m the club own massive ammounts of buisness propertys which have been bought up over the last 20 years these would be sold off to fund the new stand (as far as i know LFC have Anfield, McMannaman and Fowler own the rest of the city). IMO many permiership clubs including LFC are still light years behind Manchester United off the field we saw the future in the 80's as far as the comercial side of the club goes, and even if the clubs debts became too much for the Glazers to maintain i'm pretty sure there would be a sizable list of potential buyers waiting in the wings to take over the biggest club in the world.
