I was watching the game and Celtic were never in any danger of losing IMO, I just had to turn over to Setanta2 When Aberdeen knocked in there 1st then there 2nd and to top it all off Nacho Novo getting Sent Off


To be honest after the Motherwell game i never saw this coming, after the first Old Firm win i started to believe it was possible but i never thought it would actually happen!

He would be an utter fool to even consider going there. He has done a great job at motherwell.

Clearly, half the 'Well team will be leaving in the summer then.

Or not - the Motherwell board have rejected Mad Vlad's approach.

Was in Corals earlier and had a bit of Queen of the South at 10/1 tomorrow. Rangers should win but the games racking up have left them knackered and Queen of the South were excellent in the Semi v Aberdeen. Novo suspended isn't he for his red on Thursday which won't help.

Sorry, I don't think I was clear. What I meant was that I can only deduce that other clubs have tabled bids for some of the Motherwell players and that they will be moving on. Otherwise I see absolutely NO REASON WHATSOEVER for him to go to Hearts.

Big day for the Rangers. Can they earn their second one of these this season?

Watched it on BBC Scotland. Not a bad game actually but Kris Boyd aside Rangers were dead on there feet and fortunate that they were playing Queen of the South and not an SPL side. Not much celebrating a full time from the Gers fans.

Can't blame 'em. They only got half the quadruple and the crap half at that!

Seen the good side of Scottish football today at Parkhead in the Phil O'Donnell tribute match. Was a fun day; took my young Celtic fan cousin to Parkhead for his first trip and he was really excited to be seeing Henrik Larsson and co.
A very fitting tribute to a lovely man, the legends done him proud. Especially some of his former Motherwell colleagues who were, shall we say, showing their lack of training/fitness regime since their retirement, but they gave their all.

The SPL are shocking at helping any of their sides in Europe mate, and not just the blue side of Glasgow, Celtic had a shocking lack of support from the league last year.

The SPL allowed them to postpone games. That's why they ended up with such a backlog. That's why the other teams had to have their season extended when they should not have had to.

In the end, the SPL's pampering to Rangers needs was what caused them to ask for more pampering, which they got by getting their extension.

No team should ever be allowed to postpone a league game on the Saturday just because they want to have everyone fit for another game the following Wednesday.

I don't see any of England's European representatives wanting special treatment in this way.

I don't get all the complaining and moaning about the fixture backlogs. Perhaps Rangers shouldn't have been allowed to cancel their game, but the SPL were simply trying to help their team in Europe after being severely criticised for not helping Celtic when they were in the same position.

Nobody, either the clubs or the SFA could have had any inclination that games were going to have to be put off after the sudden, tragic death of Phil O'Donnell nor that those postponements were going to be compounded by the bad weather that followed throughout the season.

It's been a one-off season with lots of variables that couldn't have been predicted.

I did not actually realise the strain that this season has actually HAD on Walter Smith I must say. The pressure has clearly got to him and the stress has led to one or two worries about his heart.

Seemingly he has had a quadruple by-pass in the last week or so.

Be interesting to see who replaces them - Spartans have apparently prepared a decent bid though I fancy the SFL may want Huntly or Cove Rangers ahead of them.

Willo Flood signs a 1 year loan deal at Dundee United. Not many old firm signing being made are they standing still. Only team's making signings are Dundee United and the sheep.

Excellent news for the Arabs that is. He will be OOC at the end of the season too and will likely stay on for another two seasons after next.

Brilliant news it is but I find it bizarre Cardiff are sending him out on loan again when possibly they could have got cash for him. Maybe there has been a loan fee arrangement. He really enjoyed his football last season. I would love to see him sign a pre-contract in January. Craig said from the day he signed him that the SPL suits him and he was proved right. We're just one striker short from being a very good side. We'll wait and see if we got Roy O'Donovan from Sunderland on loan I believe Leeds want him as well.

Was he actually decent for you then?

He had one good game for City at Old Trafford but was pretty poor apart from that.

Would probably go down as the best pieces of business we have done for a long time.
He started off pretty poor but I think that was because Levein was playing him out on the wing. When he brought him into the middle that's when he started playing his best football. Our better results of the season was when he was in the middle and Barry Robson was played out wide. The bits i've seen of Robbo at Celtic he's played his best football in the middle particularly aginst Rangers in the 2-1 game at Parkhead. He was also named man of the match in the cup final.

Maybe he was perhaps too young to make an impact in the premiership though proving to perform at Old Trafford is very encouraging.

We predicted big things for him that day but it never quite happened.

He was a bit too lightweight for me and was not renowned for his sterling efforts in the reserves.

Maybe with a bit more bulk and a bit better attitude he is now realising his potential.

His attitude's been spot on since he's came here, doesn't let the praise get to him and continues playing his football. Definitley not got a bit more bulk looks like a seven year old.


He fights like a lion on the park and that's good enough for me.
His family has settled in Dundee too so that helps.
