A mate in my league has had him all season and as captain too, although he thinks he's changed it to Silva this week. Even if he had he's picked up massive points regardless. I think you would have to be a really blinkered Evertonian to think that it was a penalty.

The facts are....Fellaini stood still, made no attempt to get off the floor to make the header....Samba made a completely legitimate run and leap for the ball, made a clean header, with no contact on Fellaini until the clearing header was made.

Of course, he had to land on Fellaini, simple science dictates that, but to say he gained any advantage off Fellaini, or denied him any chance of making the ball himself, is just wishful thinking.

Saying that, gaining 3 points after such a mediocre display can't be sniffed at....Just 37 more and we'll be ok for another year.

If the title ends up anywhere other than Manchester, I'll be very surprised.

Wenger needs four or five world class players and to stop being so stubborn. If Arsenal haven't significantly added to their squad come Wednesday night, they'll be lucky to make the top 8. A bore draw at Newcastle, beat at home by Liverpool, and now embarrassed in Manchester.

As I said I'm not sure either way, I didn't say it was a penalty but of course I'll take it as we all will. All I'm saying is that had Fellaini done that to Samba Mason would've given a free kick to Blackburn so why can't it be given the other way too? He doesn't have to pull Fellaini to the floor when he comes down either, I don't get why you think he should automatically pull him down, you see players use other players for leverage all the time, Bent did it yesterday when he got a header on goal late on but he didn't pull the Wolves defender down with him.

1. He didn't use Fellaini for leverage.

2. Samba is a bloomin' big fella....His frame landing on anybody would probably result in a bit of a tangle on the floor...However, that tangle was after he had won the ball cleanly.

Like you, I'm not fussed how we scrape our points, but its more of a stab at the poor quality of reffing on display at Ewood Park yesterday.

After last week I thought Liverpools performance in beating Arsenal away was a top effort, but judging by todays result, Im a little concerned we only got 2 against the Gunners.

But that said, the top 4 looks a distinct possibility again for Liverpool this season.
