Erm, not quite - I was criticising the ones who think they're the greatest fan in the world because they have the new shirt and watch them almost every week in the pub. As I've mentioned in other threads, I've nothing against match-attending Reds (other than those with the superiority complex), and for your information, no I haven't been to a Hibs game this year (shame really as I usually attend around six per season) but that's what happens when you actually have a life and have children. You might find out one day.

Everyone follows teams in different leagues.

I can't believe I'm continuing to bite, but aside from supporting Hibs, I support Leigh RMI (and by support, I mean attend 95% of games regardless of times and distance), run their website, write match reports and news articles for four separate publications, spend god knows how many hours a month attending meetings and the like and, guess what? I live 0.3 miles from the ground. So I don't think I can be criticised for failing to support my local team, somehow.

I know and I'm sure he's pretty commited, I dont give a who he supports just trying to work things out using his logic.

I can understand people not supporting their local non-league side (not everyone is as daft as us!) but there's no way on earth that the number of people walking round Wigan in Man Utd shirts this evening are all match-attending Reds - these are the ones who I have a problem with, jumping on the glory bandwagon when they have a professional side in their own town to support.

Hibs is a childhood thing, I do support my local non-league team and my nearest professional team so I don't think I've anything to hide here.

Wigan had to do it in the 90's, came through it fine. Rangers just play boring football and deserved what they got in the end.

They were not bothered about fixture pile-ups when they pointlessly cancelled a game v Gretna so that they could prepare for their Champions League match v Lyon (where they got horsed). The extra fixture they faced due to their inability to beat the mighty Partick Thistle in the cup (AT HOME!).

The league should never have been extended and to blame the SFA is a complete joke.

The extension was something they should never have got in the first place. The SFA actually bent over backwards to help them.

They cancelled the Gretna game needlessly as you say, they drew cup games, they refused to fit those delayed games at times that didn't suit them, then they expected everyone to happily tag two weeks on the end of the season just to suit them. The pile up was at least partly due to their own choice.

At the end of the day though, the UEFA Cup run has probably cost them the title. All that fuss about their great day out and it's cost them both the league and their reputation!
