button's won 6 races, no one else has won more than 2.

Good race by Hamilton.

Button has been fairly lucky that although his form has dipped drastically over recent races, so has that of Vettel, leaving only Barrichello as his realistic opposition to the title.

I know it's old news now, but I'm of the opinion it was Renault's inovlement in other areas of motorsport that kept them in F1. They're engine suppliers to F2 and run other series as well, including the rather obvious example of Formula Renault. Couple that to the fact they put Flavio and Pat up as the "sacrificial lambs" and you get the result we all saw.

Hope he has a strong finish to he season, otherwise he'll just be rememberd for the guy who had that amazing car for the first half of the season.

Button qualifies 7th. Hamilton 3rd. Vettel on pole. Some pretty big shunts in that session.

Button and Barrichello demoted 5 places.

Yeah, loads of penalties after the session was finished, for Button, Barrichello, Sutil, Alonso and Buemi.

Yes, another instance of qualifying being more interesting than the race. Button limping his way to the title. We haven't seen much of his Dad recently. Go figure.

Just rolled up in Sao Paulo today, been offered a ticket for Sunday for about £70, but I just get the feeling I'd be quickly bored standing/sitting somewhere away from the main parts of the track watching cars whizz past at silly speeds every few seconds.

definitely go, Im not as big a fan as I was in the Mansell days but I went to my first grand prix in Suzuka a couple of weeks back and it was fantastic

I was going to go if the guy who offered me a ticket didn't get any other takers, but there's a Venezuelan guy here in the hostel who spent 40 hours on a bus then 4 hours on a plane to get here in the hope of getting a ticket from a tout, so I think he's kind of earned a bit of a break as a genuine F1 fan!

Watched qualifying in a bar this afternoon, I've never heard such giddy commentary as the Brazilian commentator when he realised "Rubinho" was on a flying one, the bar went mental when he got pole, imagine a pub during the World Cup when England score - I think I'll head back there tomorrow.
