| Been in woeful form since the start of the month - really can't believe how badly it's all going particularly after an amazing month in May.
No time for a write-up at min but Drunken Sailor @ 22/1 and Rajik @ 16/1 look overpriced in the Northumberland Plate tomorrow.

Will this do, my fancy too
RAJIK (16/1) who never really got going in the race and looked to not stay the trip in the Ascot Stakes last week. Rajik has won over 1 mile 4 furlongs and 2 miles which should ensure that he has no problem as he has that little bit of speed that may be required in the last few furlongs here; should the pace slow up inside the last mile. Connections are very happy with the horse and this was always going to be the target after Royal Ascot with the suspicion that he may not stay that trip. Only had a few runs since a lengthy break and is now in peak condition for this race. Big e/w bet.
Good Luck.

| The jolly looks an extremely good thing in the Plate.
Simply cannot argue with anything and is completely justified at the head of the market.
Although there is a NH horse I fancy EW, we seen Junior front run and win nicely at Ascot - Overturn has always been a front runner for McCain over timber, if he stays this far on the flat then he could have a lot of horses in trouble dictating up top.
Looking forward to this weekends racing at the Curragh. Recharge and Remember When look two solid favourites. May lump on Recharge. Precious Gem and Shintoh warrant plenty of respect though.
Remember When ran a blinder in the Oaks and dropping down to ten looks her optimum distance. The ground at Epsom that day was particularly tough, so it depends how she's come out of that race.

Nowhere near good enough on the night and in all honesty pretty fortunate to get out of the game with a draw.

Fallon done by Hills in a finish and McCoy outridden by the ultra-strong Alex Smith-Maxwell (niece of the immensely strong Angela Rucker ) - has the world gone mad?
Would save the money Mwildcats - I could stop trains at the moment
As for the favourite in the race - taking 4/1 about hold-up horses in 21 runner 2m Northumberland Plates is something I'll pass on. At the prices the two I mentioned earlier and then Becausewecan if he can bounce back as a front-runner in what is traditionally a good race for them strike me as being pretty decent prices.

| Mugs treble for me. Recharge. Remember When. Profound Beauty.
Heavy double on Recharge and Profound Beauty. Remember When had a hard race 3 weeks ago, and is still a maiden.
Curragh others.
Puttore 1.15
Drumbeg Dawn 2.55
Master of Hounds 3.30
Spinning Wings 4.30
Racing Post prices are a bit cock-eyed on some of those four.
Just Recharge now! 4/5 yes but quoting Prendegast in todays RP "He's going back to a mile and a quarter following his win over a mile in a listed race at Leopardstown, and I think the trip will suit. He's in good shape and should be hard to beat"
Thats positive enough for me.
Dermot Weld is unsure if Profound Beauty will be tip-top on this fast ground, but then again so are a lot of the other trainers.

I see Pricewise has also put this up as one of his two in the race. 14's and 12's from 16's now.

| Had a tip from someone for a newcomer at the Curragh, Tashqeel. Prendegast horse I think. Gallop reports are that he is on fire and can't wait to get onto the racecourse.

Racing Post forecast was 3/1 ... currently trading at around Evens and looks like the only one for money so far in the race.

| Was given Tashqeel a month or so back by a good friend over the water - not been told to back it today so assume it's likely to come on for the run, normally a hot race though.

| To be polite about Recharge, he was absolutely sh*te.
He has won on the ground, followed home F&G over the distance... what went wrong today?
When Hayes was pushing him on going in to the straight I knew the race was over.

| Probably flattered by his proximity to Fame tbh Andy and beaten by horses in form and one who got the run of the race today.
Mount Helicon a NR for Wire_85 and The Lady Granuile has been put up by Gareth O'Brien on ATR so been money for her.

| Even on last years form Recharge should've trounced that lot.
Remember When's Oaks burst catches the eye especially dropped in trip.
But, as a maiden, and against smart horses, to break her duck in the Pretty Polly will need a special horse.
I'm avoiding. Only others I fancy are Deaville Flyer - looks unbelievably well in, like Darley Sun in the Cesarewich - and Tashqeel.

Seemed well beaten a long way out (even allowing for the way the race was run). I backed Flying Cloud and think another win isn't too far away.

| Deauville Flyer backers were warned - good ride from the front from Ahern, same can't be said of JP Guillambert's hold-up ride on Drunken Sailor.
