Wouldn't be too disappointed if I couldn't, just thought it would be a decent experience. Toronto Blue Jays and Baltimore Orioles are the two home games in early September. Can get tickets for $5 so that's what made it really appealing.
On a side note, I'm looking forward to watching your beloved Giants too. And Man Utd.

Its a great experience if you just relax and enjoy it. Don't get all fidgety like a lot of non-baseball UK viewers do. It is good if you go with someone aswell, when we went there were two guys behind us that were making bets on what would happen in the inning and it seemed to be a good idea. Also if you make it known to people around you that it is your first game they will give you tips and info about the game. Yanks are decent people!
Yanks v Jays could be a good game, the Orioles have improved too so you may have got some good games with HR heavy bats on show. Tickets for $5? For the Yankees? I'd suggest paying the little extra to perhaps be in the 2nd tier or maybe the bleachers, there should be okay/cold weather. I'd suggest not going to watch the Mets, for a few reasons.
Yanks v Sox tickets seem to be impossible to get without breaking the bank and mentioning that you are stationed in NY would get the locals a little restless but the experience would be amazing at Fenway.
Just enjoy it and do the whole experience of buying hot dogs from the vendors etc etc.

Thanks for the advice. Will take it all on board.
The $5 tickets were for the bleachers so will probably end up going for those.

I'll say especially with MLBTV which will mean I can watch the game live tomorrow. You saying this prompted me to thinking about how difficult it was finding out information on the Reds after I first started following them. It was '92 (nearly twenty years ago, which I can't believe) when I went to see a Reds home game and have been hooked more or less ever since.
After I returned home I tried to see if there were any Reds games on the Armed Forces Radio & Television Network but could hardly get anything. With no internet the only time I could read about the Reds was if I ever bought USA Today so I kind of couldn't follow it. Once the internet was here it was a lot easier to learn but even then it was no more than a passing glance to see how they were doing. Since MLB came onto Channel Five that was it. I was back checking up on things and this has grown with better broadband and finally the arrival of MLBTV three or so years ago. Could follow regularly and even watch games on a delayed cast. Brilliant stuff. Amazing game.
It's got me thinking of heading out there to try and catch the Reds for a road game e.g. New York, Philadelphia, Washington, Florida, Chicago, St Louis (have been to Cincinnati and it's not exciting enough to go back to just to watch a few games) either next for my 40th or the year after as a twenty year anniversary from my first watching a game.

Beat Oakland yesterday after a not so great pitching performance by Jo-Jo Reyes, walk off 2 run homer by Yunel Escobar in the bottom of the 10th sealed it

Before you ask, no you can't have Farrell back. The man's a freaking GOD!
4-1 start, could easily have been 5-0 if Lindy had a bit more patience on Sunday. We've done this before of course, but this year is different because it's not in spite of the manager, it's very much because of him
Really if you looked at the team we put out yesterday, you'd wonder how the fook we were winning.

| Great home stand for us. I didn't want to curse it by posting about how well we've been hitting. Our bats have been on fire and yesterday's game was amazing. Like the opener, Volquez gifted some runs but man we were great coming back. Put the defence on the back foot with a double steal that turned in an extra base and run scored after an error. Brilliant stuff although Volquez is a concern for our west coast trip (where we've stunk expect for last year when we won a few).

| We're hitting the West Coast too Mike. Toronto teams don't fare too well out there.
Tough loss yesterday, another 1 run game. But Romero pitched well and we get Bautista back today. He's taken the role of leader very seriously and is always talking to his team mates throughout the game, encouraging them. It's great to see. Given who and where he was just a couple of seasons ago it's an amazing transformation.
Be intersting to see how Vernon Well s does against his old team. He's not exactly on fire so far but this series could spark him. Hope not though

| Great start for me in the fantasy in that I think I'd have beaten anybody this week in the league lol. Awesome even with Snider and Davis whiffing like big babies. Get your act together Blue Jays! Votto (.455, 12r, 2hr, 6rbi, 1steal) and Weaver (20.2ip, 0.87era, 0.87whip and 27k!) have been brilliant.
As for the Reds, well we threw away a chance at a series win yesterday although there was a bit of bad luck for Leake with ground balls turning into infield singles too.
