| Asomugha, McCourty and Bodden? yes please would make a pretty good secondary the problem is there's no way in hell he will accept a 5-8m a year deal unless he REALLY wants to win, if they can find a way to bring him in I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up a Jet.

Arrington and Butler aren't too bad either and like the rest of the younger D players will be great in the next few years but like you say unless he takes a massive pay cut it's a no go. I would rather get some pass rushers anyway unless we can have both
I'm looking forward to the D developing in the next few years and can't wait for next year(if theres a season), I have been saying on here and other forums all year that whatever we do this year is a bonus, I didn't see us being as good as we have been recently but we have improved at a great rate these last few months, some pass rushers and we could be unstoppable

I think Eric Moore and Jermaine Cunningham have shown enough this year to say they're pass rushers, they might not get the flashy stats but Cunningham got hold of Manning's arm on Sanders pick and Moore is at the QB pretty much every play, add another top CB to the secondary and the sacks will come because Cunningham & Moore get close now, but with 2 "shutdown" corners, they will get that extra second to get there.
In the draft I'd be happy with a tackle, C/G and a backup NT really.

I can't remember the exact number but I'm sure we have about 14 or more players out of contract so theres a few we need to resign before we start drafting/picking up free agents, I know BB knows what he's doing but I always get nervous when the season ends

| Asomugha had a poor season, and other players stepped up while he was out. We could draft a corner with our 2nd round pick and be better off IMO

Maybe he had a poor season on purpose so he could activate the clause in his contract

| Bart Scott takes things about 20 steps too far and threatens to end Wes Welkers career, nice chap
Now the NFL have got involved and warned teams that any trash talking will be used against them if there is any on field trouble. It's getting pathetic now with the NFL stepping in all the time but when complete s like Scott threaten to injure players I guess they have no choice!

The closest Bart Scott will get to Wes Welker is that Wes Welker shaped dust cloud that he will see 10 yards behind the real Welker.

| I hate the Jets as much as the next man but this is getting a bit boring. Can we get some NFL talk going rather than constant bitching about the Jets please?
Who's everybody taking tonight? I fancy an away double. Can see the Pack knocking off the Falcons and Baltimore winning in Pittsburgh. Be two very close games regardless.

Same here pal. The Packers look scary. It's our fault they're in the playoffs. Rodgers against the NFL's 22nd pass defence.

Ravens and us.
I really like Baltimore and have all year. They have terrific balance on offence, a great D and arguably [uthe[/u best RB in the league.
I'm 50/50 on our game tonight. The running game is key. If we can get a sembelance of a running game (above about 75 yards for the game) then we can open up the play-action and i'm 100% confident A-Rod could torch them and we'd win (the last game we had zero running, we fumbled inside the 1 and gave up 2 penalties to put them in FG position). That said we also need to stop Turner, otherwise like the last game Ryan will have easy passes all game while we need to get him running in the pocket and throwing it. If he has to throw it alot then I fancy our back four could pick him off and handle White.
We just need to ignore the Georgia dome factor (which is a bit of a myth anyway) and start with a simple opening drive. I think it was last week that it was said the Saints script the first 20 plays and know exactly what they are doing. I think we should adopt that. On the first drive we need simple runs from our wishbone formation and slants.

Me too, I have picked the same should be 2 close games aswell especially the Raven/Steelers which is always an old fashioned defensive battle

| Bradlee Van Pelt on Divisional weekend. Surely they could have got someone better in? Guess Reinebold is done for the season?

Thinking about it. Isn't Reinebold doing the Superbowl in Dallas with Halling? With Cecil Martin and some other randomer in the studio?
Kicker making a tackle! Who'd a thunk it?

I think they have they certainly have the divisional highlights, wasn't it Alex Smith last year or was that the year before?

You could be right. Think they had Smith last year due to the Wembley game with Woodson the year before.

| Sorry but that is a very soft pass interference call. What can the DB do if the WR is hooking his arm?

Yep some poor calls/non-calls on that drive, although Ed Reed should have been flagged as well so it was more like 2-1 in bad calls to Pittsburgh
