Not saying it doesn't go on at Everton, but it shouldn't be made out that other clubs don't have similar problems.

Gary Neville got a ban and all he did was turn around and kiss his badge.
Adebayor will probably get two matches for his celebration. Despite looking back he will probably agree it was a stupid mistake, in the heat of the moment after scoring an important goal for his new club against a team who's fans treated him like $hit, you can't blame him. I'd have probably done the same. The mindless tw*t who threw the coin needs to be banned and locked up.

What about Gerrard kissing the camera?

I don't think it's the in front of the fans thing that's the problem, more to do with the 90 metre sprint to do so. Rooney has done the ear thing on front of the kop and the LFC fans behaved very well. What Adebayor did wasn't terrible but the FA have to do address it in some way, a fine would suffice.

A fine would be fine, but there's talk of a ban and people fully blaming it all on Adebayor.
IMO, I think it's pathetic how seriously goal celebrations are looked at. I believe players should be allowed to take off their shirts and run off the pitch IF they're the home side. I believe it adds to show and it allows them to show true passion, something I feel all fans love to see. I don't see how it would be provoking if they're the home side and I don't feel it warrants a yellow card.
What gets me is, the FA apparently won't take action against things the referee has already decided upon, so if somebody's been yellow carded, only in extreme circumstances will they take action. Do people believe Adebayor's celebration was an extreme circumstance? I don't. Especially when you see some of the things on the pitch that are just waved off an accepted, like Guthrie's intentional kick that broke Fagan's leg, or Bosingwa's kick on Benayoun.
Consistency is all I want, if they're now gonna act on things that have been carded and they're gonna give punishments for bad tackles/challenges like Adebayor's, then I want it every week, not once a season.

| Boring, is Adebayor's conduct. He will face a ban because he ran to the away end from across the pitch. As did Neville in 2006. Torres and Gerrard jogged 15 yards towards the Liverpool supporters last season. So I don't know why you're fishing.

Nobody's fishing. But, imagine the United fans started mini-rioting because of Gerrard's celebration or Torres', would that then be improper conduct because they provoked the fans?
When RvP scored, there's video footage of him running towards the City fans and swearing, pretty sure somebody posted a link to it on here; why can't the FA charge him for improper conduct?

I thought you were alluding to the behaviour that RVP is accused of. Whether he created a crowd problem or not, his behaviour could have. If he did what he's been accused of then he deserves punishment. Just because the crowd were mature enough to ignore him doesn't mean he should get off with it.

| Adebayor the celebration - he had plenty of time to stop what he was doing and realise he was being a bit silly and he most definitely shouldn't have done it.
However, all teams have got players who have scored in big games and partially incited the oppo's fans - Fowler did it for City against Nited, Rooney did it a little bit last season against City, Gerrard has run the length of the Paddock/Bullens Road at Everton after scoring, Lampard has done the ear-cupping one many times etc etc...so long as it's not too inciteful (if that's a real word!) then I don't think we should worry too much - I think Adebayor's was borderline inciteful to be honest.
Adebayor the "stamp" - it most certainly looked horrible and intended from the angle I've seen and in this day and age you are going to get hammered for it, image is everything remember...it certainly wasn't as bad as some of the challenges players get away with year on year - remember the Palacios one against Naldo last season???

| I think everyone who is coming out and saying 'he got carried away in the moment, his emotions took over him' is forgetting that he is an adult and therefore responsible for his own actions. Remove the apparent 'romanticism' of football and all you have is an arrogant idiot inciting a crowd of angry people.

He was on the receiving end of $hit loads of abuse last season from Arsenal fans, he was getting abuse all throughout the game from the Arsenal fans, he then went on to score a goal for his new club against the same idiots who spent most of the game abusing him. Sure, he went a little OTT, but it was a better way of saying "up yours" than saying it to them.

Any player should be able to celebrate how they wish. Even more so those who are given abuse throughout the game. If you can't take it don't dish it out.
