The White Sox have just lost their 1st game.After coming back from 7-2 down to tie it 7-7 they have a chance to take the lead in the top of the 8th but hit into a double play to end the innning and then the Indians score 3 in the bottom of the inning to eventually win 10-8.This is how this season is going to be for the Sox

Bloody taking over NASN! Turned on to watch PTI and Around The Horn earlier and Baseball was on.

It's a sport i'd like to watch but i don't understand the rules properly so i find it boring very quickly. I'm going to read up on it though because it's on virtually every day on NASN.

NASN have baseball pretty much every day from now until October, somewhere in the region of 250 games, so if you don't like the game, or undertand it, I'd suggest either keeping away from NASN or brushing up on the rules!

When the hockey and hoops have finished PTI and ATH will settle into the 11 til midnight slot hopefully. I can't remember the last time I saw PTI on the first run.

Yep. It had/has usually been the 11 O'Clock slot but this past month or so it's moved to 10. Presumably thats because of the NCAA tournament which has been on.

Might have to learn about Baseball as it's on most of the time! I do watch it occassionally but i don't understand things like RBI (?) or is it EPA (?)

RBI - Runs batted in. Player A hits the ball, players B & C get round to home plate, scoring 2 runs, player A is credited with 2 RBI's.

EPA is actually ERA, which stands for Earned Run Average and is used to measure how good the pitchers are. Basically it's a calculation of how many runs they allow per 9 innings. If a pitcher goes 3 innings and conceeds 1 run his ERA is 3. It gets complicated becuase it's only earned runs, so errors by the fielders don't count, but that's the basics.

I had the day off yesterday and was not impressed when the Jays game got cancelled. I just hope it gets shown tonight but Sportsnet has a Leafs game scheduled so there's fat chance of seeing the baseball on that channel. Hoping i can pick it up an an NY station.

It's been at 10 for the last 3 weeks because the Yanks moved their clocks forward at the start of the month so all the live stuff has started an hour earlier than usual since then.Everything is back to normal now as we've put our clocks forward.

I stayed up all night watching the game and boy im happy i did,Mets 13 Marlins 0 it does not get any sweeter than that

Must admit it was twitchy bum time in the 9th with 2 on, no outs and A-Knob at the plate. Thankfully Accardo carried on where he left off last season - he's been a godsend since BJ got injured.

The White Sox finally get on the scooreboard with a 2-1 over the Indians.We are on tv 2 times next week against the Tigers and looking at what the Royals are doing to them we could be getting the backlash from it.
