That must set a record for the longest gap between F1 races then for Badoer (ten years since his last GP).

I can't imagine anyone's gone that long between GP's, so I reckon you're right. If we're being pedantic it's slightly under 10 years, with Japan 99 being his last race, but that's splitting hairs.

And I don't know about you, but I don't have enough spare ones to split.



Still, Clarkson will be happy. They can re-run that clip of Badoer in the Ferrari CS racing (and failing to pass) Clarkson in the Porsche GT3 on the next series of Top Gear.

One thing I do still have is hair. The eyesight's attrocious, the guts growing, but the hair's still in place.

On the subject of Clarkson, whatever happened to the Top Gear tie-in with the F1 coverage? I'm sure they mentioned something about it when the BBC announced they'd won the coverage back.

I bet Badoer can't believe it.

Can't wait for tomorrow's race! I love Spa, it's such a manic circuit and in this hi-tech age, still a brute of a circuit for the drivers to get round and if the weather decides to do a million things at once, makes it even more spectacular!
